Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.2

TX Releases Another Update To Their SX OS, with the big feature everyone was waiting for 'CARD2' support!
txos12.jpg

Earlier this weekend, we were informed by TX that they were busy putting the finishing touches on yet another major update to their very popular SX OS, and now with v1.2 you have what everyone was screaming for since the first release, the latest 'card2' games! :)
It's been a busy week at the Team-Xecuter headquarters, after releasing v1.1 of SX OS we got (yet again) a good amount of feedback from the community.

Let's jump straight into the changes for version 1.2 of SX OS:
  • Added Card2 support
A small dozen (currently released) games were not compatible with SX OS, we tracked down these incompatibilities with these so-called "CARD2" games and fixed them. You can now fully enjoy `Sushi Striker' and other games!
  • Added downgraded fuse support
In v1.1 we added a protection against programming fuses. What was not added was a bypass for the "fuse checks", this has now been addressed. Advanced users who want to enjoy "downgraded" firmwares can now do so!
  • Improved homebrew compatibility
Without going into complicated details, homebrew compatibility has been improved once again. Give your problem homebrew titles another spin, and let us know if any problems remain. We're sure this should be a big improvement.
As always, updating SX OS is simply a matter of replacing "boot.dat" in the root of your microSD card. No need to re-activate your license or anything.

Stay tuned for more updates. We're far from done!

Updating games AT ALL is a ban risk situation lol.

People are already getting banned there is a thread about it.
Not true, if you never used Layeredfs, updating games backups seems fine for everyone i spoke to (including me). Not saying it won't change in the future, but all those bans rumors are 100% related to layeredfs.

Umm you might want to go look at the ban thread......

People are being banned at random, with no rhyme of reason as of yet.

There is SX users that have been banned, Layered users, Only homebrew users that never pirated nothing. If you do anything to your switch right now at all you are a high risk for a ban. It seems the banning system doesnt have all the bugs worked out yet is all.

Watch this thread its starting to take shape . He is still waiting on alooott of people to fill out the form, there has been many more bans if you feel like sifting through the 40+ page thread. which is here, and BTW starts with a SX OS user who never used layeredFS.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Best way not to get banned is stay offline

So ban yourself so you dont get banned got it :).

Best way to not get banned is dont fuck with your switch till all this has more time to mature.

    • E-shop downloads possible after Ban:NO (archived only)
    • Online Gaming possible after Ban: NO
    • Game/Backup Update possible after Ban: YES
  • Unchecked "Send Errors" in Menu: YES

  • Does the Eshop work: NO
  • Backups updated with what Firmware?: Not tried updating!

He never even updated games.....

He also didn't clear logs inbetween booting back into OFW, and from what I have seen thus far no one doing so has been banned YET (or that I have seen yet).

Why didnt you update the games through CFW?

that wasnt me it was a link to someone else. and updating games through cfw also gets you a ban lol.

From what we are seeing in the ban thread, if you use SX or Layered your going to be banned its not If its when. A guy even got banned playing his own Dump with his correct Carts certs....

How does it give you a ban? I have been updating my games through CFW and no issues. Does the ban only happen when you try to play a game on line?

Nope its just random, they are not banning everyone at once, there system seems to not be optimized yet.

If you have been playing and updating with SX expect a ban soon. They just haven't caught up with you yet, or you dont know you been banned.

You can still update games when you are banned, you just cant access eshop or play online.

So, even people who update their backups in OFW are now getting banned?

Yes.

However I ahve yet to see a report of someone clearing the logs before booting OFW.

There is even a guy that is here and on the RS discord that never even ran a game just launch SX OS, played with the menus went back to OFW and got banned. They know if you are even running CFW at all.

Scries told everyone repeatedly this would happen, not sure why all the suprise. Nintendo is not fucking around this time.
