Could I update from 1.0 to 5.1, then be able to downgrade?
I'm stuck in the same situation, I decided to just update to 4.1 with tropical storm so I get better game comparability/fix SDXC update prompt and still have Fusée Gelée working for atmosphere in the future.
Im gonna get a cartridge at gamestop and return it after updating since I cant get anything larger than 4 Gigs onto the SD card because my switch wants to update for exfat support even though its on 2.2.Did you update with a real cartridge of tropical storm or dump?

I still need to go to a higher firmware to play super mario odyssey but thanks I will try it out so I can play BOTW for nowIf it's just exfat support you are after then I recommend this guide

I followed it and added exfat support to my 4.0.1 switch.
Is there anyway I can make this easier/faster due to sx os or the dongle?
Or anything I should look out for?
I'm on 2.3 but will 'temporarily' update to the latest fw so I can play the latest games. Hopefully I can cold boot via 2.3 later
assuming you backed up raw nand and boot 1 and 2 we will probably see a downgrade method from TX that ignores fuse checks, with all the money they just made and will keep making they can afford sacrificial switches .So, concerning that long rajkosto upgrade/downgrade fuse ignoring guide:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...nofficially-without-burning-any-fuses.507461/Not really SX can't help you. It's really not that bad. Just make sure to backup nand so you know you can always go back. Read the guide several times before attempting this. Ask if you are not sure.
i'm not necessarily worried about making a mistake (although that wouldn't be good)It's really not that bad.

Still new to this didn't know you can split the XCI, I will look into this on my next day off thanksYou can play Mario Odyssey on 4.1, plus, you can also split *.XCI flies into 4Gb files & run them through SX OS to get around the need for exFAT support..
