Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.2

TX Releases Another Update To Their SX OS, with the big feature everyone was waiting for 'CARD2' support!
txos12.jpg

Earlier this weekend, we were informed by TX that they were busy putting the finishing touches on yet another major update to their very popular SX OS, and now with v1.2 you have what everyone was screaming for since the first release, the latest 'card2' games! :)
It's been a busy week at the Team-Xecuter headquarters, after releasing v1.1 of SX OS we got (yet again) a good amount of feedback from the community.

Let's jump straight into the changes for version 1.2 of SX OS:
  • Added Card2 support
A small dozen (currently released) games were not compatible with SX OS, we tracked down these incompatibilities with these so-called "CARD2" games and fixed them. You can now fully enjoy `Sushi Striker' and other games!
  • Added downgraded fuse support
In v1.1 we added a protection against programming fuses. What was not added was a bypass for the "fuse checks", this has now been addressed. Advanced users who want to enjoy "downgraded" firmwares can now do so!
  • Improved homebrew compatibility
Without going into complicated details, homebrew compatibility has been improved once again. Give your problem homebrew titles another spin, and let us know if any problems remain. We're sure this should be a big improvement.
As always, updating SX OS is simply a matter of replacing "boot.dat" in the root of your microSD card. No need to re-activate your license or anything.

Stay tuned for more updates. We're far from done!

Downgrading will stick out to Nintendo like a sore thumb when connecting online, especially where they have the ability to count fuse burns.

For example if you checked in with 5.1 yesterday, and check in with 3.0 tomorrow, HUGE red flag.

There's no reason currently to downgrade, so unless you're a working on a sandboxed environment, I'd advise people to avoid doing so.

Can confirm;
- PSnes is working better. Still crashes on games like DKC for some reason.
- PFBA is working.
- VBANext seems ok as well.
- NXShell crashes.
- Mario Tennis Aces, Sushi Striker work.
- Yoku's Island Express - throws a software error notification. Will redump it tomorrow to test.
Will look into more soon.

Fifa 18 still seems broken for me - game card can not be read
(personal dumps btw)

so basicly I can restore an nand 3.0.0 and it will boot regardless is my fuse are burn or not ?
Won't be able to boot your cart games though if your switch was 4.0.0 or higher. Just because 4.0.0 added cart slot update for compatibility on those firmwares. So if you downgrade before that update none of your carts will work anymore.

But yes you will be able to sit in 3.0.0 or lower firmware. (And run back ups. Just not physical cart games)

So now I can use the guide to update from 2.3 to 5.1 and not burn fuses when booting SX OS? This is the only thing I was holding out buying it for.

Ping Long work very hard. Ping Long will discipline his child laborers for messing up LA Noir. They'll lose 1 cent of their pay for an entire month, and have to work over time until they solve the problem.
