Hope this is the right place to ask this. I've been wanting to convert this to bcstm and make it seamlessly loop for a theme but I'm only able to use mobile so I can't do that. Would someone be able to help me with this?

Replace the boot.firm on the root with boot.firm from Luma https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases (not the joyconhax edition, that was a joke)
Nowadays,Gateway is heavily outdated and i don't recommend buying it. You can buy a compatible flashcart or use the seedminer method to cfw your console. 3ds.guide has everything that you need while cfw'ing your console.

You can use the seedminer method (costs $2) or ntrboot (requires a compatible DS flashcart).
If you have a DS flashcart already but it isn't compatible with ntrboot, you can get a cartridge that would update you to 4.x and use the MSET method.
I have a 3ds compatible card, I play DS roms off it. Tried to use it for the ntrboot, but the bottom screen goes black when it tries to install. Any ideas? Or does this mean I need to update my firmware to 4X somehow?

We got some news that there is a new update for the 3ds the 11.7 firmware. How can I update without looking my luma, homebrew and so on ?

Thanks, I have tried the same guide with 11.7 and ntrboot + R4 SDHC (Gold2016), everything works fine.
I have a n3dsxl which I hacked using 3ds.hacks.guide from 11.6 two week ago, and I can't say I understood everything I actually did...
My question is: 11.7 update released today, and I wonder how do I update my 3ds now? Should I use system settings to update or do I need to download something and install it using microsd..?

Hello, just got an old 2DS, but the guy who sold it updated it just before selling.
I saw Seedminer works on 11.7, does that mean I can use the Dsiware method with Seedminer from the guide at 3ds.hacks for 11.6 on my 11.7 2DS to do the whole setup for freeshop?
