and they have their OS reverse engineered and fully functional to know that, lol you are so funny mister troll :P

Its like when a student with the highest score in class is accused of cheating, if he is the highest, who he cheated from?

That entry point was released by failoverflow but a lot of devs knew of its existence because is a failure in the tegra processor, and SX OS does the same as atmosphere except SX OS works, so I think there is a tiny difference, atmosphere is not complete, its not stable, they could look that they do similar stuff with a completely different code, we dont know until SX OS is public dude :P
The analogy is flawed. Cheating can be in many forms. You find way obtain the test/ exams questions before time and prepare. Having access to material to cheat & not get caught. Or simply get correct answer from others on questions you don't know while at the same time prevent others to get the correct answer for question they don''t know from you.

I don't have depth about technical stuff so I'm indifferent about SX OS vs Atmosphere as for now especially there is so little substance (especially analysis on SX OS) but plenty of speculation

you are overthinking the situation, when I stated that argument thought in my subject math, you cannot cheat on math unless you copy someone else(unless calculator limitation), in other assigments we have that, I will update my comment, atmosphere could copy someone else too, but they do not work atm, when everyone gets the tx and everything works or not we will know but if their promise is true, we will have something that works

I don't make guess or imply as such. Just counter your previous cheating analogy about test top scorer.

Atmosphere could have copy from somebody else but it's open source and credits have to be publicly given to contributors. If some original coders find their code in it, they are entitled to call out the team behind Atmosphere for piracy (punt intended). As for now, we don't see that kind of drama.

As I said I am not on either side. I am not accusing anyone of anything

it is true if you overthink the situation, maybe they studied and did their own work, the only ones that accuse are the open source community, they feel almighty most of the time, but they most of the time dont mess with their own lol

That can be the case. However, IIRC we have a former worker under TX coming out with story of TX working scheme that they don't develop themselves but paying coders who can assemble similar code to open source project.

I don't know. Not follow the scene close enough...
Its that there is been a guy that has been spreading misinformation about it, maybe he is that person you tell, he told everyone that tx are crooks that will steal your money and run, that ICE will stop their shipment, he was going to leak the firmware without drm and it was all false

If you can point the the profile then, I'll check his post to verify whether it's the same one I remember

that is a huge low quality bait lol
Likely be. As for that person, while his info is there to be confirmed, there is no real countered to his claim. A case of innocent until proven guilty. He does show he knows more, and being connected more than those who engaged with him. His claim is no worse than speculation about SX OS source code structure. Mods as neutral also don't find false to his claim so time will tell. "soon".

As I said. I am neutral on this.

I agree, the dongle is a nice little novelty for now. As I said in another thread if it was close to 100$ I would be hesitant to get it. But it's just 40$. I can happily try SX Pro and still feel I want to use Atmosphere as well without feeling like I got robbed.

In my opinion having both would be better to see how they evolve alongside each other

it's funny though as SX os is BASED ON atmosphere (think how samsung skins Android by google for their smartphones) SX os will have all Atmosphere features + piracy. that's it.
perhaps some kind of cheatengine. but if they spin their own or re-use something in Atmo remains to be seen lol.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
