Still not working. But is there anything wrong with the cwcheat file name being cwcheat.PRX (rather than lower case) idk, it came that way from the source zip file I got in from. The last game.txt config line I tested that isn't working is: ms0:seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.PRX 1

Also, your config line shows no slash after ms0, but my original pathing had that. Why is it removed from the game.txt line? While searching for config help on it, I came across a post stating it should look like: ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1
It doesn't matter if the prx is upper case or lower.

And the / doesn't matter right after the colon, mine is setup without it and works fine.

Anyone know why any custom homebrew games I try either gives an immediate c2-1282-1 error when launching the bubble, or just opens to a endless black screen that I have to close with the PS button?

I tried this on Chocolate Doom, vitaQuakeII, Free Heroes 2 and Hydra Castle Labyrinth. (Installed on sd2vita card) Other homebrew apps like Adrenaline Bubble manager work just fine.

Quick question.
I recently got my hands on a Slim with 3.67, then the 3.68 update came out and as far as I know theFlow started porting all the 3.67 hacks he has ready to 3.68 so.... can I assume it's okay to update to 3.68 for now so I can use the psn store and online features?
Thanks in advance!

So, I've downloaded all my PS Vita, PSP and PSX games from my 3.68 vita and inserted it into my 3.60 Henkaku. Borderlands 2 from PSN shows up. Cannot play it because system activation. PSP/PSX refuses to show up on the main menu. Loading the PSX eboots in adrenaline works, the PSP eboots fails to start. Is there a way I can go ahead and make my games playable w/o PSN?

No. Legitimate games are linked to your PSN account, and as such require your PSN account to boot, period. If you don't link your PSN account to your 3.60 Vita, then you can't load your legitimate PSN games for that account.

Your best bet is probably to just use NoNpDrm, and download the games using PKGj or whatever other "backup" source.

The general rule is to always stay on the lowest firmware if you want hacks, but updating to 3.68 will probably be fine.

how do I connect my vita to my pc to do the cma backup? I have it installed on my pc and I'm using my phone's usb since I cant find my vita's one. Does it matter what kind of cable I'm using because I can't connect my vita to my pc and can't get my cma to work. It's my first time ever using it on the system so I need help doing it.

First of all, you'll need to uninstall CMA. It can't be used with a hacked Vita, since it'll try to force you to update no matter what.

Check Device Manager when you plug your Vita in, does anything show up? If so, install the latest QCMA and be sure to check the libusbk drivers during install. Then, try again. The Vita should be recognized and able to connect. The stock USB drivers that come with CMA are outdated and garbage, so they don't work all that well for modern PCs and OS's.

If nothing shows up, then the USB cable you're using probably isn't going to work. The cable shouldn't really matter, AFAIK the micro USB port is identical to any other, it may simply be one of those rare "it just doesn't seem to want to work" type things.

ok so I uninstalled the cma on my pc, and I installed the one from the link you sent with the driver you said. IS it safe to use the cma on the vita now to backup vitashell? I dont want to get forced to update.

I even open retroarch before I open maidump because I didn't remember what it did and why I had it installed in the first place. any help. I want to get my system to play my ffx card again and all of my other games.

So I read the tutorial... sorry for askin something that could be in the 79 pages... but can that compatibility hack still be used if you have 3.67?
I really would like to play Uncharted Golden Abys on my PS TV.

Just a heads up - I just bought a new US PS Vita from Amazon directly from Sony, and those units are indeed on 3.65; at least mine was. I'm returning it, so no big deal, but I wouldn't rely on new US units coming with 3.60 anymore

EDIT - definitely from a 3rd party, and not Sony. Dunno how I didn't pick up on that.

Sony themselves don't sell new Vita's on Amazon, you bought from a third party reseller. If it were on 3.65, then it's almost guaranteed to have been opened at some point and updated by the seller, so I don't think it was actually "New". It's speculated that US Vita's, both OLED and Slims, haven't been newly manufactured in at least 2+ years, before 3.65 even came out.

Ahh, wow - I should've known that. Thanks for the clarification.
