That's why I always bought PS4 more than 4 years ago to be safe. There will be PS5 in 2021 and that mean I am getting an early PS5 with the first FW "1.0".

On Friday June 15 2018, I purchased a PS4 Pro from Target (USA) and it came with 4.71
Not a bundle one, a standalone one (with no games bundled).

Thought I’d add to the discussion, bought a PS4 pro white from Argos UK yesterday, came with 4.73
Weird when I bought a black one last week it came with 5.50, maybe the white ones are limited quantity

I did the same got PS4 Pro just after it was released and when 4.55 exploit was released i got second one for jailbreak and then 3th one jailbreak-backup
i'm getting 2 PS5 on release too hope proper CFW is made for PS4 like the PS3 ones

It's getting harder to buy propper PS4 unit.. I was only interested in PRO so I can share my exp:
The easiest way to buy new (unused) is to buy bundle.
1) Newest consoles (7116) with desire fw are:
1) God Of War Limited Edition fw 4.73 (accept China and HK )
2) Monster Hunter World Limited Edition fw 4.73
3) Battlefront Limited Edition fw 4.70

Older one (7015):
Destiny 2 Bundle fw 4.70

New fornite bundles are with fw 5.50 also stand alone consoles with Ronaldo on the back are 5.50


Personally I bought GOW Limited Edition... It was available and most afotrtable (paradoxically)... to be honest I don't like the look at all ;-)

Thanks! Yes it is very Cheap and i am not in a hurry.. Gonna wait for 5.55 and i ordered the Nathan Drake collection for 20 euro to play in the meantime.

I bought my ps4 pro at a game stop in US about 2 months ago and it came with 4.55 ofw. But since the root is only good until you power it off, I passed on rooting it.
