You'd need to have two kinds of Joycons for that, L and R, rather than only one as of now. Also, it would hurt the ability to use the joycons as 2 controllers for local coop.

A more portable handheld that doesn't require dissambling and packing when I leave my house. What did nintendo win when they released the "new" 3ds but a bunch of annoyed fans? Call me another one

Sure, the fact that it's underpowered when compared to other home consoles is lame, but that's not a huge problem if they can keep the games coming. The thing is that it's missing basic stuff that even the PS3 and Xbox 360 had. Things like game chat, game invites, headphone support, or even just simple messages. It really is ridiculous.
The Wii U failed for a ton of reasons. They made a bunch of mistakes almost on purpose. The Switch is doing well because it's actually a very interesting idea and the marketing has been pretty good.

I said that as soon as the Switch was revealed in their YouTube video about 2.5 years ago. I made fun of it by comparing its size to the Atari Lynx.
I expressed my disapproval at its hybrid nature too. Its hybrid nature means it wouldn't be a particularly good portable or a particularly good home console. That has proven true to me. I dislike its thickness and that it has a fan and a grille to expel air. I dislike the cracking, scratching and warping some have suffered. Heat does kill and shorten the life of electronics. I dislike the battery life along with the drab appearance of the main unit and blocky dock. But hey, apparently the public can't get enough so who am I to say? Nintendo must be pleased with sales and profit 'cause they aren't discounting (as they did after the poor reception of the 3DS soon after it launched), that's for sure.
My nephew has one. I still haven't bought one. Nintendo rarely get their first-generation portables as refined as I'd like. The good news is they are making a more portable version. They know they need it too.
I got a grip for my Switch. Say what you will about the Wii-U tablet, but that tablet controller was fucking comfy! I remember playing BOTW on it, and then transferring my save to my Switch, and bitching about the Switch really quick. My hands aren't even that big, but the Switch feels so cramped without a grip.
It should be sized so that the attached joycons are more or less the size of the WiiU gamepad, not the tiny babby sized things they are now. The screen is nice and big enough but the joycons suck for manly men with manly hands.
I wish they put man sized Joysticks and finally give analog trigger support, but what I really wanted was a Tegra Volta based custom with all not needed crap removed from it and just a lower power version of it to have way better battery time on low end visual games and around the same time but with huge visual upgrade on best looking games.
Oh and getting rid of badly optimised games which is what I see most, theres a lot that even look worse than some android games, run like a crap and has huge input lag, gosh I would never even let those craps be sold in the Switch until they make a proper game...
