The PSP has cheap feeling buttons, can't really beat the Nintendo hardware quality, however it's much easier to setup a PSP for emulation!

Lmao GBA is crap? Never once faced a problem with GBA emu on psp. If you want the perfect emulation machin I'd recommend the psp.
somebody has never played kingdom hearts chain of memories and had to use a savestate to get around the intro...fact is both systems are great it really depends on what the person wants BUT 3ds provides better emulation for a majority of the systems and has built in hardware for ds and gba

What? Nintendo hardware quality? Please tell me you're joking. Sony's literally always been ahead of Nintendo in terms of hardware.

Meh, 3DS seems better at emulating Nintendo stuff.

dude, the N2/N3DS is pretty damn good. the only thing about it thats bad is its resoultion. SUper durable, super battery, tons of injects, only missing PS1. PSP is about equal in terms of quality, other than the buttons feeling worse.

Yeah PSP, a device much older than the 3DS is still comparable :P

Personally I adore the 3DS's low res 240p resolution. We'll probably never see a mainstream device with a more retro-console-friendly resolution again.. so it's pretty much peak panel as far as I'm concerned.

I just love the natural scanlines when in 1:1 pixel mode. Sega's 3D remasters - on the right display settings - are sensational and the games the stereoscopic 3D was made for.

Yes, and it has issues with games such as Golden Sun. Missing sounds, frame drops, sound skipping, etc.

And there are other games that have those issues and more. Is not perfect.

Overall, the 3DS is the better console. In many aspects. It's the perfect retro machine.

3ds is dope, not overall better and definitely not perfect for all retro games. The 300 title limit forces you to emulate eventually and w/o vc injects, PSP and 3DS are almost even. Your entitled to your opinion but PSP has the PS1 to back it up as well as a more mature library of games. PSP GO is also smaller and lighter than any model of 3DS making it pound for pound the supierior choice.

Tempgba plays the intro, although the video is garbled to hell, no savestate required though. But on a side note I love 3DS, the clam shell protects the console and the games are great, just not better than PSP's and considering the size, power and timeline of the PSP GO the 3DS should've been more powerful. At least strong enough for PS1 and N64, I mean the Xperia play can run those for Christ sake. Hopefully a smaller, (actually portable) version of the switch comes along to save us all from our massive expectations of handhelds. :hateit:

3ds is much more power than a psp in the processor alone and the fact your are saying "At least strong enough for PS1 and N64" shows you don't understand much about emulation the ONLY reason psp runs ps1 so well is because its mips processor has similar architecture to a ps1 hell thats the same reason the n64 could run at all on the psp...lets not forget most 3ds games actually run at 30fps+ while psp and even vita have issues keeping a steady framerate even with full clocking

No, their is more to be said. Mature was the wrong word. Not as In "I'm cool because I'm old" but as In not holding my hand every step of the way. Compare Pokemon to Final Fantasy and you'll get me. Fantasy life, Ever Oasis, 3D Land (beat all 3) all great games but some people like a little bit of skill required, challenge to be had. Rengoku, Samurai Dou, God of war, Tenchu. These are tough games that leave one feeling rewarded upon completion. Psp taught 3ds alot, single analog can work. Monster hunter, gurumin and lbx were psp games first. I don't get why it's so hard to give PSP respect.

has nothing to do with giving psp respect it is to do with the fact you are so biased

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
