GBAtemp is attending E3--and we have an interview opportunity with Nintendo!

0ZEZpll.png

Once more, GBAtemp will be live at E3. Next month, two of our magazine staff will have the chance to attend meetings and press conferences with companies like Bethesda, XSEED, Bandai Namco, Sony, and more. Additionally, we've recently secured a meeting with Nintendo, to tour their booth, play some of their upcoming games, and even have an interview with one of Nintendo's representatives. We at GBAtemp are incredibly excited for the chance to get to see what all the game studios have in store, and we'd like to ask if there's any questions you want us to ask Nintendo! (Nothing unreasonable, though!)

GBAtemp's live coverage of the event will start on June 10th, and will finish on June 15th! Stay tuned next month to see GBAtemp's adventures at E3.

I am probably one of the last people you have to sell the notion of advance wars to

Hopefully the SNES entry gets the translation finished (all the others have been done) as I am curious to see what goes there.

On fire emblem then every time I go try play an entry it just seems like a weaker version of Shining Force, never mind something made in the decades since. Worse still for me is they seemed to have doubled down on the bad even by anime standards story and that seems to be something that attracts much of the newer aspects of its fan base.

The translation status for Super Famicom Wars is listed as fully playable. What parts of the game haven't been translated?

Also in the zip file I only see a BPS file and VCDIFF file. What file does the emulator run?

My bad, missed the release back in December.

The emulator likely won't run a file -- the IPS format that most emulators use is quite limited (especially on the SNES where all sorts of dumps exist) so people moved to new ones. http://www.romhacking.net/?page=uti...vel=&perpage=20&title=&desc=bps&utilsearch=Go should cover BPS. VCDIFF is the extension chosen by the maker for the xdelta patching programs. The readme contains some usage.
If you are particularly attached to IPS you could patch with one of the above and then use an IPS patch maker to create one.

Can you ask Nintendo if they will finally officially support Team Xecuter XS Family products.
Seriously ask them about a Switch Lite or mini .. I would be very interested.
