Is anyone working on this anymore?
I have stopped working on DeSmuME-NX, but I'm still working on a DS emulator. Since DeSmuME's source has been around for a long time, it's code base and commit history is pretty huge and working with it is more of a hassle than it's worth.

Basically I have moved my efforts into continuing the development of MelonDS.

Can you make a mode to switch it horizontaly?

The last couple of days I decided to mess around with the switch, so for my first release I decided on a DS emulator.

The interface is very crude based on the Vita port I worked on a few years back. Basically just put some roms inside sdmc:/switch/desmume/roms and play.

Could this potentially run any quicker in the near future or do we need to wait for proper GPU implementation?

Would the Retroarch potentially run faster, slower?

I added a portrait mode for fun, if anyone's interested. Just a quick little modification. Source is here, and I attached a compiled version to this post. I also disabled advanced memory timing, which the DeSmuME source claims is "reasonable to disable as a speed hack", but I haven't noticed any difference myself. I'm somewhat interested in porting some of the optimizations from the nds4droid project, specifically its JIT and/or threaded interpreter, but I won't have much time to do so for a while, and I realize MasterFeizz has already moved on to a melonDS port, so it probably isn't even worth the time. For now, I'll just leave this small update here so we can enjoy some "progress". ;)
