hey everyone ,
im having a problem installing B9S to my A9LH old 3DS xl .
now i know my 3ds is a9lh cuz it runs old cias just fine , but the new ones such as METROID samus returns keeps freezing as 3ds logo
i did everything from this guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s correctly but after i finish the the prep work & reinsert the sd card into the device & hold the start at first it give me luma configuration screen & when i restart & do it again it gives me godmod screen , i repeated the process so many times (to make sure i didn't miss something & i didn't!) & its always the same
when i made the other guide on my other unhaked 3ds it worked fine but in this case (a9lh to b9s) i couldn't !
what am i missing ?!
please help !

power off the 3ds, hold select and power it on, what version of Luma does it say?

now update your 3ds firmware via system settings, as Metroid requires 11.3 or higher

Is there a way to install homebrew CIAs to CTR/TWL NAND without needing a valid signature? i can't find any good threads on the topic besides the ones made by newbie Gateway users (I don't own a Gateway)

Do you mean DSiWare homebrew? Not sure if such a thing exists, but if it does, the console will know to install it to NAND instead of SD. Anything that isn't DSiWare won't run from NAND, you'll end up with a black square on the home menu probably.

hello just a question looking for help . i have new 3ds xl 11.6 fw want to flash it can it be done with a card if so which one? or on the guide i saw i can brute force it. is brute force the only way to do it or do they sell cards for this sw

When I started my N3DS today it suddenly couldn't detect the inserted micro SD card. At first, I was thinking that it was just a hiccup and a restart would fix it, but no amount of restarts fixed it, even with taking the micro SD card out and putting it in again. Then came the shock, when I tried to open it via an SD card reader on Windows: The card has to be formatted first.

I haven't done anything out of the ordinary when I recently used it. I saved the game, closed it properly and only then shut off the system. And to add insult to injury, the micro SD card is actually an MLC type instead of the usual TLC and I bought it specifically for more security.

I'm not very knowledgeable on the matter, but since I had something vaguely similar many years ago with a hard drive: I think the files are still there and I might be able to "restore" them when I restore the partition's "file table", but I forgot what application I was using for my hard drive back then.

And lastly, since I mostly care for my StreetPass Mii Plaza save data: Is it stored on the SD card or on the internal memory? I'm worried about starting it right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello I need some assistance with 3ds hacking. Someone asked me to look at a 3ds that was hacked for them. I cannot launch homebrew through the download play app with rosalina. Here is an overview of the 3ds...

-old 3ds
-firmware 6.0u
-luma v 9
- godmode 1.6.3
-hacked with ntr boot
So I downloaded all the files needed for the guide. Everything seems to be working. I can launch luma and godmode. The rosalina menu opens but when I try to switch the title to the homebrew launcher the 3ds just hangs on the black screen that says nintendo 3ds. I've hacked 3ds' before and never had any issues but, every system I modded was on 11.2 and higher. I believe that the firmware version being 6.0 or something low like that is the issue. I would just update it to 11.6 but I wanna make sure its safe (i believe it is) and I'm not able to at the moment becaause the battery is completely dead and I have to charge it when I get home from work. Thank you in advance for all of your help!

Make sure you have boot.3dsx on the root and you've installed the latest homebrew launcher cia. And can you open the homebrew menu in download play?

Thanks for the response. I have boot.3dsx on the root. I can’t install cias because I can’t launch the homebrew menu through Rosalina to open fbi
