Curious how they plan on "licensing" the software to people without distributing hardware alongside it. Will they be requiring you to dump your console ID and such so they can bake it into the software before they send it to you? Otherwise, it just seems like anyone could one-time purchase it and hand it out to anyone and everyone. Highly doubt they'd do something like that.

Still on the hype train for Atmosphere, fuck this shit.

Same here but nothing wrong with having both methods, I have two switches

So there isn't much known about this, what features does it currently have? One time install basically and won't need the jig after every restart? A custom os? I'd love more information about this before investing.

I think it's expected that you'll keep your console in sleep mode, therefore retaining the code in memory. perhaps it will let you attempt to power off and go back to the RCM payload, but who knows.

You 100% need your Console Keys, to decrypt the Partion, so it will customized for sure.

I mean these features need to be listed. The only thing we know so far is that it's branded and has real time game switching. You'd think they'd list every detail, probably get more sales that way. I guess I can always wait and see someones review on it after it's released since they are being soo elusive

Yep, expected this much. Again, I'll be waiting for the open-source approach.

Yeah that's on them, these kinds of companies are always shady as shit. Regardless of their track record, they're making all of the mistakes any other chink company like Gateway would have done by surrounding their software in a veil of mystery. That's how you get bricked systems.

Selling a software solution is fairly logical given the hardware aspect will soon have a massive asterisk slapped next to it when it becomes defunct on patched revisions.

OS is always 'useful' if you find a new home to cram it through.

And like this they sell software that forces consolue unique verification for them to routinely sell and DRM. New update needed? Give us your key.

I'll most likely wait for a community based one like Atmosphere, there are some really talented people out there who aren't trying to blow smoke up our asses

I like TX for a long time (good things ... and bad things ...) but i prefere to give $24.95 to SciresM as donation for a free to us OS/CFW

I have a lot of respect for SciresM and his work. But I hate the fact that this scene became a big shithole over the past few years. Everyone transformed into an ethical hacker, teasing their stuff, never releasing something to the public, being anti-piracy, while blowing against such groups as team xecuter, who are actually delivering something that is working. All ethical hackers can go fuck themeselves, I'll rather give my money to team xecuter for their persistant contribution to the console hacking scene for decades. They deserve every single penny they're getting.

You can blame every major person involved in the 3DS scene for setting that precedence. Basically, join #switchdev on EFNet and anyone you see that's a moderator you should wave your pitchforks at.
