That reminds me of the old days where a lot of people wanted a 2d ocarina of time. One famous guy attempting it faked his own death because it was too hard for a team of one to pull off.

YES! OoT 2D. I too was looking forward to that. Too bad it, like many fan made games go no where. :( Another one that would have been cool as shittake was that unreal engine remake of OoT. That one appears to still be in active development: https://www.youtube.com/user/CryZENx/videos?view=0&flow=grid&sort=dd

Gotta cross our fingers that Nintendo does not pull a Square Enix like how, Chrono Trigger - Crimson Echo, almost didn't happen.

I think if ninty thought aLttP on 3ds was a good decision they would've made it already. Unfortunately I think it's too close to the 3ds' end of life for a game like that to be developed.

There's a little consolidation. The 3DS will hang on for another year and maybe more. Here's hoping to AttP in 3DS style. :D

Personally, I'd say OOT 3D. The game itself is amazing and is considered one of the greatest games ever made, but it also comes with a challenge mode and has a lot to offer. Plus, it has tons of replay value.

Oh is that what happened to OoT2D? I was actually working on music for that and then I left for a while and suddenly it just kind of looked like everything halted

I just bought Majora's Mask for now, thanks all for giving me advice!
Quick advice, you have to be really patient when playing this game. Specially during the start until you get the 3 day time warping tricks. If you get how the day system works, everything will be a breeze like a normal Zelda game.

Learn the song of Time, song of double time, and the song that skips time (too lazy to search than type guys.)

Inverted time, it makes time half as slow

Yeah. That. Thank you.
That game hitted my nerve right of the bat. Luckily, i was motivated by my gaming will and got it (Conscience: im a gamer will. i need to beat this sh*t.) Turned out to be one good plot in zelda series.

I have one more quick question: Is it okay to play BotW as my first Zelda game? I mean, how much do you think will effect on how I see the old Zelda games?

To me, nothing.

The story per game is whole. So you'd understand it anyway. If you put it chronological order, it will makes sense, but since the timeline is split to three, the order doesnt matter that much anyway.

Youll enjoy it regardless of the order.

Majora's Mask has aged much better than OOT. But i also had lots of fun playing ALBW. I would certainly play all three of those games, cause they are the best Zelda games you will find!

I would say Majora has aged better graphically (if we're talking original n64 titles), but the difficulty spike and waiting around required in MM are gonna be much harder for modern gamers.

Now of course allowing the song of double time to skip to specific hours will mitigate this somewhat in MM3D.

In my experience it's harder to get modern gamers interested in MM than OoT.

Very true. OoT is more linear and on point.
MM is tricky and you need to conserve the time or else, you are going to repeat dungeons and questsa lot.

MM is my all time favorite just because of how different even for a zelda game it was- its an incredible work of art.

however... OoT is a work of art as well. better to recommend.

the 3DS versions of both are the defintive versions to play- OoT for dealing with the water temple/boots equip (making it fun) and MM for revised song of time/saving system.
