Seller listed it as brand new, which I was skeptical about, but the console is in pristine condition. Either it was barely used, or an unwanted gift, but if it's second hand they even put the twist ties back on with the plastic. Wonder why they waited so long to sell it..?

I went through some local stores searching for a 3.0.0, checking serials in many boxes and even powering on the device to check if it wasn't updated, but no good. By the local stores there were units ranging from 3.0.1 to 4.1.0.

Looks like Japan is doing a re-run of the Odyssey bundles: Mario Red consoles will no longer be exclusively 3.0.0-3.0.1

Damn my switch comes with a XAK prefix which has no available data. So scared to turn it on.

There is one point of data but I dismissed it as an error:
XAK100000 (Neon Blue-Red) was reported to be on 4.0.1 by mulmatjoa
