Dark Horse Comics has announced the third and final entry to their extensive Zelda book series, which will be releasing later this summer. This follows the previous two books, Hyrule Historia, and Art & Artifacts. The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia will be a 328-page guide that discusses every single creature and item found in the entire Zelda series. There will be a regular hardback release, which will cost $39.99, and a special Limited Edition for $79.99 which comes stylized as an NES cart within a cart sleeve. Both of these versions will release on June 19.

Hyrule Historia is great because it gave us a true Zelda timeline and lots of other things. I don't think this one really is necessary. If I need to learn about a particular monster or item, I can go to the Zelda wiki.

there isn't a discussion about that timeline being wrong and people accept a modified timeline from the book?

Sure, there is lots of controversy over the Zelda timeline, but it's still more interesting to read and discuss about than monsters and items. We've seen them tons of times before. We don't really need a book to remind us about every single one of them (that's my opinion though, I understand people love to collect).

More concept art is good though.
