(North America only) The Capcom x SEGA Humble Bundle focuses on PlayStation systems

IMG_7652.jpg

The latest Humble Bundle sees SEGA and Capcom teaming up to provide PlayStation users a discounted collection of games for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. You have until May 8th to get the bundle, which includes the typical "pay what you want" minimum tier, or the higher average tier with more games. For a $1 minimum you can get Dead Rising for the PS4, Crazy Taxi for the PS3, and Dustforce and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for the Vita. If you "beat the average" amount, you can also get Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, Alien Isolation, and Mega Man Legacy Collection for PS4, Binary Domain and Sonic Generations for PS3, and some coupons for the PS Store. (Yakuza 0 50% off, Resident Evil 7 Gold 40% off, Dead Rising 4 50% off, and Valkyria Revolution 40% off.)

For the Deluxe $15 tier, you'll unlock Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, and Dead Rising 2 for PS4. Regrettably, the Bundle only is for those in "The Americas", and therefore have a North American PlayStation account. This includes Canada, Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Paraguay, Honduras, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Nicaragua.

This discount also coincides with PlayStation's Golden Week sale as well.

Huh, is this the first time GBATemp is reporting on Humble bundles? Don't think I've seen an article like this before.
As I recall, Humble Bundle threads didn't really seem to go over well when reported. I remember the last one I did might have been the "Friends of Nintendo" Bundle, where Humble had 3DS and Wii U games bundled. This one is another unique case of offering deals on console games, too.

yeah when they have console specific games I think console gamers don't really think to check humble bundle unless they are given a heads up about a console deal

Ah got it. Yeah, I suppose you don't typically see Humble deals on console games.

You might want to add that it's totally possible to create accounts for specific regions from anywhere in the world, just like with Nintendo Switch eShop accounts.

the MM Legacy collection is a excellent deal! Since some people got interested on the X Legacy Collections, they might also be interested on the classics!

I won't buy console specific bundles because I simply don't own half (or in this case 2/3rds) of the consoles. Also, I'm pretty sure the Super Monkey Ball ones doesn't work on PSTV (officially, anyways). I mean, I literally held for years to finally getting a Windows systems to play half* my Steam games.

Again, don't get me wrong. There's a lot of Humble Bundles in the past that were great. The Humble Neo Geo 25th Anniversary Bundle was just crazy: 25 Neo-Geo games for $10. But now days, it's most often one or two games in a bundle that are worth it or if there's more it's the second or more time they've been in a bundle, so I've already gotten the game directly or through a trade. :/ Still, I check every week because sometimes there's just amazing stuff.

* Might have been closer to 1/4 since WINE works with ~50% of games in my experience.

Aren't the PS3/PS4/Vita all region free though? Pretty sure at least the PS3 and Vita are.

Personally I would like it if you posted about every game related cheap bundle, Humble Bundle and others, at least if they have some good games in them. It's hard to keep track of them all myself.

Region free, yes, if you make an account for North America. However, the Vita has to be formatted each time you change regions as far as I am aware.

If anyone wants to donate a copy of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to your friendly neighborhood cupcake, I would love you forever. <3

In all seriousness, a nice bundle, but I just can't justify paying for the top tier to get the 1 game I want, when I already have all the titles I care about in the lower tiers. It always seems like the one I don't own is in the top tier as well. :P

For anyone considering getting this for the 40% off code for Valkyria Revolution, maybe think twice. Here's my review of that game. It plays nothing like Valkyria Chronicles

But Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is very worth it, according to @Foxi4's review of it.

Overall this is a great bundle. I'm gonna pass it up because I own a few of the games already and the ones that I don't I'm not much interested in.

I was waiting for Alien Isolation to go on sale so I snagged this up. I'm looking forward to checking out some of these other games on the PS3 and PS4.

Tried to convince my roommate to get the bundle, but he was nonplussed. I guess these games aren't super appealing apparently.

I was sort of interested in getting the resident evil remake, but I suppose I already have a similar enough version on the gamecube.

I kind of wish these games were all on one platform rather than spread about on different PS consoles. The fact that some of these games are for vita and ps3 is kind of a bummer since I only have the ps4.

Single key so no option unless they donate the whole bundle to you.

Not a bad bundle of you own a PS4, but certainly could have been better. I've got most of the games in other bundle for PC/Steam, but if you only have a PS4, why not.

Also Sony, fix your PSN region system finally. If steam can manage it on PC, you should be able to manage it on your platform. The days of non standardized systems and formats had long passed
