Amazon Mexico have supposedly leaked the box art and release date for the recently rumoured Spyro trilogy remaster according to Twitter user @MykonosFan

The collection will be called the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and will include remasters of the original PlayStation games by Toys For Bob - known for their work on the Skylanders series and most recently a port of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to the Nintendo Switch.

The remastered games will include:

• Spyro the Dragon
• Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
• Spyro: Year of the Dragon

If the Amazon listing can be trusted, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is set to release on September 21st for $40 USD.

An official announcement of the game is expected to be announced at PAX which is opening today for 3 days.

Just pirate the old one for now the developers of the original version are gone so i think its ok to pirate it.

Last I checked insomiac games is still around, they are making the new spideman game releasing later this year

I really dig how they redesigned Spyro in this one. He looks 90% accurate to the original, even his expression is on point.

Another remake that doesn't need to be made. The originals are still great!

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed one or two of the DS ones. Think they are the last Spyro I played.

I'd rather them just make a new game to begin with and make it good. If they did that, I might be incined to by it. As it stands, I already own copies of Spyro. Buying them again is just burning money IMO.

considering they are old games every one who bought them new did so nearly 2 decades ago. Idk how its a waste of money when it looks better.

Is it going to look good on switch? Yes, i dont doubt that. But is it going to look sooooooo good? Not really. You know already the ps4 will be the superior one (graphically speaking) and pretty sure the switch version will have to tone down some graphicall effects and assets (pretty sure there will be less grass and a simpler lighting engine, along with compressed and blurry textures) but yeah, it will still look good and play the same.

SO, two alternatives for people to choose. Sad that switch owners will likely have to wait a full year to enjoy it on the go

Definitely a pre-order for me, especially since it's launching the day before my birthday. I grew up playing the Spyro trilogy, lot of fond memories going through each game in my living room with my family all watching.

Idk why I should get a ps4 at this point i should just get a good computer. consoles will be obsolete soon what i hate about them is they cost less then a gaming pc but you end up playing more just because you could not save up an extra 500 dollars. console games cost more you also need to pay for online and the accessorys for them are expensive as well.
