Just got it in the mail today, everything looks good. It came with 2.1.0 thanks for the help. Quick question should I try and find a 000 Zelda or get dx? Do you think game stop would let me update using their cartridge and then buy zelda?

Serial: XAW100153
Serial on device matches serial on box: Yes
Region: USA
Firmware: 2.1.0
Color option: Neon

If you only want CFW you can wait until it gets released. Zelda 000 won't update your console, pokken 000 will force an update to 3.0.0

Yeah that's what I ended up doing, I got lucky and got the last used 000 copy. I guess I can wait until the homebrew scene develops a little more until I take the plundge, thanks for the advice

I think 3.0.1 is good enough. Honestly, unless you REALLY want to play emulators, and lack a device to play SNES, PS1, etc emulators, stick with it. The current homebrew really isn't that great, and this is coming from someone with a 3.0.0 Switch.

Hey @Essometer should I add that graph I made to the OP? I think it makes finding a version number for a serial easier, instead of finding a serial for a version number. (unless you have any suggestions for what I could do with it to make it better)

I guess homebrew still needs more time to mature and get better. Having a SNES mini or a portable console (vita, N3DS) are good alternatives to play those emulators.

Sure. Also, if you want to edit the OP in any other way, go right ahead. I think I can trust you with that.

Thank you for your reply!
However, I understood that version 3.0.1 is useless from a homebrew perspective since only versions 3.0.0 or less are compatible. What is the benefit to have a 3.0.1?
It would be a big disappointment if this is confirmed to be a 3.0.1 as for me all the point is that install homebrew...

If I recall, CFW is going to be released all at the same time for 2.0 and up at the same time. So, I'm assuming 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 are getting CFW at the same time.

I'm not sure if 5.0.0 is getting CFW at the same time, or might have to wait.

CFW will be released for all FWs simultaneously up to and including 4.1.0. Only 1.0.0 will probably get it earlier. Anything on and over 5.0.0 will get CFW later.

Neat. So yea, if you end up with a 3.0.1 Switch, I wouldn't get annoyed about it, and try and return it, to try for a 3.0.0 Switch. It's not worth the effort for a few emulators. IMO, 4.1.0 is just as good as a 3.0.0 Switch, as you're going to get CFW the same time as 3.0.0.

Wow! Is there anything I can do to prevent that from happening?
I want to keep be under firmware version 4.1.0 :(
Nope, if you want to play the game will force you to update. But hey, if it's pokken and it's the 000 cartridge, you can install homwbrew launcher if you update to 3.0
Be sure to be completely offline.

So, as we all know, an exploit that existed till Firmware version 3.0.0 has been fixed in 3.0.1. I think it would be a good idea to start a thread where people
can post the serial number and informations about their switch consoles to help other people buy hackable switches in the future.
XAW100136 is 2.1.0
