Wings of Despair
Beta - All 3, practically no story elements.
Game play focused, minimal story (for now)

This is planned to be a series of chapters focusing around Robin and Lucina. Currently only 2 of the 3 chapters are done, and their stories are currently very minimal.

Wings of Despair 1 overview:
  • If Robin dies, a game over results.
  • Enemy stats are late/end game level.
  • Tested by a few people and (hopefully) well balanced with a margin for error.

Wings of Despair 3 (Grima) Includes Id (Purpose) as a custom theme. As such, the mod no longer works with the fates undub. Big sorry.

Instructions:
  • Make sure you have the folder F:\luma\titles (Obviously this requires Custom Firmware to use)
  • Create a folder titled 0004000000179800 if you have the Fire Emblem Fates Special edition. (0004000000179600 for Conquest. 0004000000179400 for Birthright.)
  • Create a folder within called romfs
  • Place the contents of the "patch" folder within the romfs folder.
  • Make sure "enable game patching" is enabled in the luma3ds config.
  • Launch Fire Emblem fates

I'm currently looking for anyone interested in helping playtest and/or write for this trilogy. I eventually want it to have a decent story of sorts, and while I have the baseline down, I'm a trash writer. Please let me know if you're interested!

Gameplay wise, it's not quite done yet (no reinforcements), but other than that the final part of the trilogy is up for testing! I'll update the main post right now with more information.

Also the previous 2 custom maps now have Divine Decree as their music.

Okay played through the first one and I think I found a couple glitches, 1. there is a glitch in the opening text, it's not bad though so. 2. the music in battle appears up to be out of sync with the music out of battle. 3. The NPC Lancers when supporting each other appear to give 86+ hit to each other, but one also gave 36+ IIRC. Also I recommend you give all enemy units Hit/Avo +10 as the char Flag and Skill to make the chapters harder, other then that the first one was great! (Second was not on the map. *Shrug*)

I'm not a huge fan of this idea. Increasing the hit/avo of a few select units would be fine, but doing it to every single enemy just artificially increases the difficulty without adding any strategic depth to the game.

I was thinking more on the line of the Illusions (or Vallite) army only having that skill,
and since the enemies appear to be Vallites, unless that was not intentional,
I was thinking they should have it but it's still the creators choice of course.

Just finished playing these, incredible job! There is a lack of challenging maps in Fates other than Conquest which is a shame, but you helped with that. Do you have any more of these kinds of maps? Seriously loving it, playing through it again with some different strategies.
