Hacking R4i Gold 3DS Plus white screen on boot up

System: New Nintendo 3DS XL
CFW: 11.6.0.39-E
Luma: 9.0-2a840f2

After successfully installing CFW on my N3DSXL i wanted to play NDS games, but it won't work. I have tried multiple kernels (latest was Wood Kernel 1.64) and different SD-Cards. I also tried formatting my SD-Cards multiple times using the build in Windows formatter as well as Rufus. My SD-Card size is 4GB (if that matters in any way). The flashcard is set to 'D' and NOT 'N'. I tried using it in different 2DS and 3DS as well as DS and DSLite systems but to no avail.

I currently play NDS games using an old R4 which works fine thanks to @Apache Thunder .

Anyone got any tips?

Yes i have the necessary files located in the root of my SD-Card.

I tried your kernel but its still not working.

It's likely busted. These things aren't very high quality.

My R4 card has been working fine and I haven't even taken it out of the 3ds but now the icon is blanked out. If I re-insert the cartridge, the icon shows up for a split second before it's gone again. WEIRD. And NOW it just worked again after I typed up this sh--. Moving on.
