The Nintendo Switch is about to get a new Kirby game, and Nintendo of Japan is certainly excited for its release, as they've created a little animated trailer for the upcoming release of Kirby: Star Allies. This cutesy 50-second video shows off some of the enemies players will encounter, and the different powers they can give Kirby such as Fire, Water, Sword, and more. Kirby: Star Allies launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch next month, on March 16, 2018.

Looks like in this game you can combine different transforms. It also looks like it's a return back to the original method of Kirby where Kirby could get powers at any given time.

Thanks for the gameplay footage. This game (and what smaller titles go on sale) should hold me til SNK Heroines. I just wish someone would make a damn 8 Bit Kirby Amiibo. Same goes for Samus. I'd say DK but I have his Skylander Amiibo and the same for Bowser. OK, I'm off track but this game looks like fun!

Looks like you'll need another set of joycons for four player but should be able to do two player as is. Fantastic.

My niece and I couldn't get the DSs to connect for Super Star, but she loved Epic Kirby and Return to Dreamland.
