Completly agree!!!
Just because Nintendo killed the console and alreally reached its EoL doesn't mean its homebrew scene should also die, and I feel pissed off that respectful hackers like derrek, qlutoo, smea and yellows8 make comments like "after all is just the WiiU", "wiiu=meh" or "if you still care the wiiu" which just makes other devs to stay away from develop cool stuff on such kickass machine. I don't mind if those guys don't want to support the WiiU anymore to look forward into the Switch (come on, they alreally did too much for the WiiU, even derrek helped hexkyz to exploit the boot1) but making such disgusting comments is not good.

I can't help but wonder what could be accomplished with a hacked out Wii U with enough people looking into it. One thing I'd love to see just to say that the scene got it done when Nintendo never did, even though they themselves advertised it at one time: getting 2 Gamepads connected to a single system.

And the best piece of homebrew I could imagine to show this feature off would be emulating up to 3 instances of GBAs at once. This shouldn't be impossible, the OG Wii has a little known homebrew called GB4GB which allowed up to 4 GB/Cs to be emulated at once on one screen. And the different instances of emulation could link up, me and my buddies played the original Pokemon games at the same time this way and even did some trades and battles together, it was pretty cool. But with the extra power of the Wii U, I would bet that 2 or even 3 GBAs could be emulated at once. And if we could have each GBA show up on one screen each: TV, Gamepad 1, and Gamepad 2, that would be amazing, and then if we could also link those up for multiplayer GBA games, that would be amazing. I loved the multiplayer GBA version of classic Mario Bros that came with every Mario Advance game, that was a blast, and there are a lot of other great GBA multiplayer experiences that are not getting the recognition they deserve in this day and age.

HIDtoVPAD has been ported (no config nor mapper support yet).

OP updated :)

that is looking mighty good, did i just see a switch pro controller working on WiiU ?
no adapter needed ?

if so then that is sweet.
but the thing is, when i used that hid thing on my wii u to use my DS3/DS4 controllers for vwii's NGC, i remember i had to have it plugged in the wii u usb port with cable in order to have it work, i wish it would work wirelessly.

Unfortunately, this will not work on vWii/WiiVC stuff, only on CafeOS (WiiU Mode).

It never needs to die! OG XBOX is still alive to some degree, and was very active in 2014 iirc. These plugins seem great! Gonna look into it tonight.

Doesn't make sence on wiiu since the Network Client exist.

Well, some devs are just arrogant cynical jerks, that's just how their personalities are, unfortunately.

For an adapter, for me it is.
It's not as simple as a cheap BT or wifi adapter. It has to read both BT (for Switch/PS controllers etc) and USB for other controllers, and it needs to have onboard hardware to read all the supported controller types and convert them into several formats depending on what you have it plugged into. And it's a very versatile product that can be used for far more than just this one purpose, so I think $20 is more than fair.

Still don't get my point, for NS is OK, but using this adapter on WiiU along with HIDtoVPAD doesn't make any sence, HIDtoVPAD has its own official companion app for wireless controllers called HIDtoVPAD Network Client. It would make sence if you own a Switch and want this adapter primary for its intented porpuse (on the Switch) and if you own a WiiU, but if you only own a WiiU (or don't care about universal HID support on Switch), the Network Client is perfect.

Of course I'm not suggesting that someone buy it just for this if they have no other use for it. Just saying that the price is reasonable.

It’s great he’s still working on wiiu homebrew but tbh all these can be accessed from a custom made cbhc menu on boot up which I would find myself just as easy. The chances of using some of these apps at the same time would be doubtful. The wiiu is dead on it’s feat such a waste of great dev talent! He needs to move on and put his magic into newer homebrew I’m sure some of the switch devs could use a guy like this and point him in the right direction.
What a way to be negative about new homebrew development. You've always been one to say something completely distasteful to piss off the devs, like that time you asked FIX94 to remove his name from CBHC. If you don't like the wiiu, you can move on. There's still people who appreciate the wiiu regardless of where the "trends" are right now. The Wiiu isn't automatically useless and trash. Switch homebrew isn't even made public yet and he can choose where he wants to develop. I really hate when Switch owners talk down about the 3DS and Wiiu just because they're desperate for more Switch releases because they spent a lot of money and its been quiet for a long time. You can blame yourself for getting the switch so early on.

This has really good potential for sure, I'm really excited for this. Maschell mentioned the idea for this tool about 2-3 months ago on Discord and I'm glad he's actually going through with it.
Hacked consoles will always be fun to have no matter how old. You don't just simply forget about them because you're hyped for what's new.

Somene named Flump on Discord has already made a CBHC mod and could easily add this as well.

Is it possible for region free disc support by plugin? Still surprised that haxchi doesn’t have this natively.
