Ahaha, trust me I wish I could help! ;3; The only experience I have with cheats is editing an FP one for Animal Parade. Sorry to get your hopes up, I read that entire thread (literally every single page) so I've seen the struggle you and everyone have been enduring with regards to getting the cheats compiled. You guys are awesome for all of that work.

It's been awhile huh? XD I have a question regarding the dlc. Through lots of troubleshooting and probably way more effort than was necessary if I'd paid more attention, I've gotten cheats and the TLE patch working with the 1.1 update and the dlc. Out of curiosity, would TLE still work with the extra events added through the dlc, just without the correct gender pronouns added through TLE (ie if you're married to one of the bachelorettes the game would use masculine pronouns to refer to the player)?

Also, super happy to see that you're doing well Silrae. :> I have to thank you for adding those codes to that one cheat thread since the ones you helped with were the ones I wanted most. >w>

TLE's current official version will just flat out crash with 1.1, but if you're using the temporary patch I put out when 1.1 was released it should relatively work normally. There are some events that were edited and will crash even with the temporary update (like the festivals). The new events and marriage candidates from 1.1 won't gender you correctly either, but that'll be fixed in the next TLE update.

I'm curious though, what did you do to get TLE to work? Did you edit the files yourself or did you just download the fix I made?

I had to do two things really: download the fix you posted and change the way I loaded cheats/the patch itself to use the CTR plugin framework thing and Luma's plugin function (the name escapes me) instead of NTR (tbh should have been doing that anyway, but the cheat file I was using used NTR), as trying to do anything else would give me I think an arm11 crash when I tried to launch the game. I'm using a completely fresh game to test this stuff out, figured I would go after Kasumi while I waited for the TLE to be updated. So far I haven't had any issues. <3

Hm, just encountered an error and I'm not sure if it's related to the TLE patch or something else, seeing as I experienced it while in a shop inventory and it's the first time I've had an error with this current setup. There wasn't an option to dump the error to a log file so I wrote it down in case you want to check it out. To be honest I don't know if anything in it is going to be useful since there's not much info from what I can see.

I've had my game crash randomly because of some cheats being activated for too long, that was probably the issue.

If you mean, change your character's gender, then that's a function included in the NTR plugin/CTR cheats that can be found in this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/story-of-seasons-trio-of-towns-ntr-plugin.463287/

I have tested the gender swap with both methods and they both work just fine. Just remember to not leave the cheat on since it's not wise to leave most cheats activated for long periods of time.

So here's an obligatory progress update on how things are going:

As of right now I've finished editing dialogue and incorporating it into the game, but I still have other things to do.

Currently I'm planning on revamping the childbirth and pregnancy events; this means I need to re-edit the entire events from top to bottom, starting with the dialogue and ending with scripting the actual mapping and animations for the characters. Basically, it's a very big task that I'm not sure I can pull off, but I'm determined to try. I'm also going to add a lot of dialogue to the new party events from the 1.1 update. This shouldn't take as long as revamping the other two events, but I'm not exactly the best writer so it'll mostly be trial and error until I feel comfortable enough that what I've written is in character and doesn't sound out of place or odd.

I had really wanted to make this the last big update I do, but since I've taken so long already I've been considering releasing an early update with full compatibility for 1.1 without the dialogue edits. If I go through with this then I'll probably release the first half of the update by the end of this week. Maybe.

Also, I just want to apologize again for taking so long. Outside of TLE I do have a job and classes to worry about. Sometimes it can be difficult to find time to work on this project, but I am trying to get things done as quickly as I can!

If anything, it would stoke my anticipation for whatever other updates you would make in the future. To be completely honest, I make a point to quickly check this thread everyday to see if any progress has been made, excitedly waiting for a release. It personally would make me really happy to get a chance to see all your hard work for these past few months now, and finally crack open my copy of SoS:ToT again after so long. But, regardless of what your decision will be, thank you again so very much for all of your hard work towards this patch.

Ahh I feel like the edits I've made so far are going to disappoint you because they're pretty generic. Mostly just pronoun fixes and whatnot, most of the work I've done has been with scripting. I've had to fix compatibility with events like the festivals and test them. Most of the big changes to dialogue are for those three events I mentioned, and some overworld dialogue for the new dlc characters.

Thanks for sticking around and being so supportive, though! I know you've been waiting since the 1.1 update, sorry I've been taking so long.

Oh, also did you ever finish playing through Kasumi's route? I'd love to hear some feedback on my edits for her events! Hers were the most changed out of all the love events, but I was never sure if I overdid it or not.

I actually have been flip-flopping between her and Wayne, but I can definitely at the very least power through Kasumi's events and let you know what I think. I went back to v3.1.2 (meaning I've removed the update and the dlc since I'd rather be able to play with TLE than not) and I did notice that after I began to date Wayne, when I go to greet him I sometimes get the ellipses with no portrait. Nothing game breaking and if I keep talking to him I will get a proper greeting eventually. But I'll for sure give Kasumi's events a good hard look. Are there any others you're interested in feedback on?

Oh, that's definitely weird. It could be a problem with you downgrading to 1.0, but I kind of doubt that. I'll check it out, thanks for mentioning it! Do you remember what flower color he was at? It's fine if you don't, I'll figure it out one way or another.

Aaand, since you offered, I would really appreciate it if you looked at Komari's light blue event, and Yuzuki's light green/yellow events! You definitely don't have to rush on that though, I'm super grateful that you want to give feedback in the first place

Haha, hey I've got nothing but time on my hands so I don't mind. Plus this gives me incentive to try out the ladies which I've never really been tempted to do since none of them are really my types. (and honestly I'll take any excuse to play this game rofl) But mostly I'm really happy that I'm able to help with something that I use and enjoy so much, especially since it will hopefully take some stress off of you.

Edit: now to possibly put some stress back on xD would it be possible to edit townsfolk's responses to you dating someone? Because Carrie's response when I began to date Wayne was 'With as dashing as you are and as adorable as Wayne is' felt a bit offputting (to me at least). I felt like it should have been reversed 'With as dashing as Wayne is and as adorable as you are', or if you prefer to keep it as neutral as possible to fit any type of player, 'You two are both so good looking you'll make a really precious couple!', just as an example.

Honestly, so long as I have a patch with functional festivals and minimal misgendering, I'll be FAR from disappointed!! And no need to apologize, I get how stressful work and school is combined with a passion project. I'm just grateful that you're finding whatever time you can!

I will say, praise the cheating gods for the date modifier and fp code. XD It makes things so much easier~ I should be able to knock out Komari's light blue event and at the very least begin to date Kasumi by tomorrow, so I'll pm you my feedback on those soon. Yuzuki will take a couple of days so I can play through Kasumi entirely but shouldn't take more than 3 or 4.

Though they both work individually, game crashes when I replace the constdata provided in the folder.

I've been checking in regularly since December to be able to romance the DLC characters with this hack and I would appreciate having the compatibility without having to wait longer for the various dialogue and scene edits (though i'm sure they'll be amazing and worth the wait!!). Sorry if this comes off as rude, I know you're working super hard and have a life beyond this, and I really love this hack and appreciate the amount of time and care you've put into it.

I'll try to release a smaller compatibility based update in the next couple of days. I'm currently in the testing stage for it to make sure there's no bugs. With luck I'll have it released by Sunday, but if I run into any problematic bugs it may get delayed a bit. I doubt it'll take longer than a week, though.
