So recently the youtube channel the gaming historian has uploaded a video. People may know the channel for video documentaries on video games related stuff. Most of the videos are explaining events in the past such as lawsuits between companies like Atari and Nintendo, or just insight on things like the Virtual boy failure. The recent video that was uploaded was the history of Tetris, and it is a hour long, but the video gives a in depth explanation on how Tetris came to be. Most of the video discusses licensing issues between the use of the game and having rights to publish the game in various formats of arcade, computers, and consoles. I did watch all of it but honestly I didn't know how crazy licensing for content can be especially if is not handled properly, makes me wonder if other games was just as bad as this one even worst that doesn't ever get release cause of it. The video below is there if you wish to see it but you probably won't give much thought about it since is not "everyone's cup of tea" I just noticed some people discussing laws and things recently and figured some people might actually care.
