Hello, how are you?
So, I was looking at this list:
http://www.gamesradar.com/ps4-pro-confirmed-games-list/

The list features some games that are supported on 4.05 or lower firmware.

But if I get a pro with hen and load a game pkg from USB, will it work with the ps4 pro features?

From what I remember when the ps4 pro launched, it was said that it was up to developers to support the pro and especially they add to add pro support to existing games.

Since some of those games on the list are from way before the ps4 pro launch, I guess they received patches from the developers.

From what I understand, a pkg file is a dump from a game disc, so it will not include such patches, am I right?

If so, is it possible to load those patches and use the pro features?

Or currently, is the ps4 pro support non existing for pkg games?

Thank you for your help.
Best regards

I have a PS4 Pro. Works same as non pro.
Send debug payload, install PKG, play PKG.

Most games will not be in HDR, except for Resident Evil. This is because most games need an update to get HDR, and we cannot install updates. Everything is the same for all PS4s.

My PS4 Pro that I got on ebay last week was 3.70, so I updated it to 4.05. And before you ask, yes, it is the same exact file for all PS4s...

Good luck

So without either an exploit for a more recent firmware or the ability to install patches to pkg files, the pro is useless if all you want to do is play downloaded single player pkg games?

Cheers

what? no. i didnt say that at all. the ps4 pro still runs on 4k while exploited. HDR and 4k are not the same thing

games that can do HDR, however, will not be HDR, until a PKG with the update that brings HDR is built within it.

How do I update it to 4.05? I can't find a guide on how to do it. Maybe I'm just exhilarated to get the game that I'm missing it xD
