Have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but the trainer won't even open. I went into task manager and it was running in the background.

For some reason, Twilight Princess HD just isn't working with TCP Gecko anymore. I've tried it for about two hours now, with this trainer and with JGecko U, just can't get anything to connect as soon as the game starts, every other game works. I tried going back to an old version of TCP Gecko but that doesn't work either

The issue has been confirmed by @BullyWiiPlaza on GitHub himself: https://github.com/BullyWiiPlaza/JGeckoU/issues/45

Hi guys. I am having trouble with this Trainer and the one for Wind Waker. Both Trainers won't open anymore. I double-click on each one... and nothing. They used to work/open, but now are not for some reason. I have not made any changes to my laptop and I am running Windows 10 64-bit. Help GREATLY appreciated :)

Note: Only thing I can think of that changed was when Steam installed some Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributals. What do I need on my computer to make the Trainers work again?

Update: Nevermind, downloaded latest trainer versions :P

Yea, that was a big problem for everyone. So I decided to remove the update check in it, because this caused the problem.

I keep getting "dwilighdbrinzess.ETCPGeckoException was thrown"
Am i doing anything wrong?
  • Wrong IP Address
  • Trainer could not connect to the Wii U
  • TCPGecko isn't enabled
  • Wii U doesn't have internet
it could be one of these 4 things, you should recheck everything

Every trainer besides programs that edit the save file work over tcp (most with codehandler) so every trainer needs internet the BOTW Trainer always needed Internet

There is a problem concerning TP HD and TCPGecko at the moment. You simply can't get it to work right now, no one really knows why.
Well yea. Myself had many troubles too with Twilight Princess HD.
I was able to connect to the game but it often crashes when I enter a new area or going into the pause menu.
Dunno if it has to do something with this.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
