I did that and it still hasn't booted yet.Okay, that's good. Press B to get out. 2DS should turn off. Turn it on again to see if you boot in Home Menu.
I don't have any of the tools needed to take the battery out of it. I already tried to boot it without the SD card and it didn't work.Power the 2DS off. Take out the battery and SD card. Do not put them back in yet. Hold the power button for 20 seconds. Let go holding. Wait for 5 minutes, go on coffee/snack break... This 5 minutes is for the 2DS to self fully discharge.
After 5 minutes, put battery back but not the SD card. Try booting up it up then.
Okay. I'm going to see if my friend would have something. Where is the battery locatted? Ive never taken apart a 2DS before. Then there's no way to ensure whatever save memory/Yugioh in-game locked up loop on sysNAND clears. Find a small enough screwdriver and try this before we can proceed process of elimination.

am i able to move on without doing this part? You need to get a small enough phillips screwdriver. I don't know what else to say other than borrow one from a neighbor or friend, or go your nearest store that would carry a basic set of small screwdrivers.
Whenever someone goes through the motion of troubleshooting an issue on any system be it a Nintendo 2DS or Boeing 747 aircraft, it is recommended the simplest ones are done first. Once you've exhausted every possible easy ones, you go on ahead to do more advanced tests. You don't want to be kicking yourself trying to fix something if it could have been done with a more simple solution.am i able to move on without doing this part?
