While watching the video, keep in mind that it is still possible this is a fake. The storage doesn't quite add up in the footage (MK8DX, Splatoon 2, etc) and some of the text doesn't work together (namely 'g's).

The supposed leak is of a 5.0.0 FW update for Nintendo Switch consoles.

In the leak, the following updates were shown:
  • Cloud Storage
  • Virtual Console (not really sure where but apparently it is there) In the folder menu, it mentions a virtual console folder
  • Themes
  • Proper online integration (party chat, rooms, inviting friends)
  • A proper internet browser
  • YouTube and Twitch
  • Probably more that I missed

MEGA link

EDIT: Also mentioned in the rumor is that it is releasing early February.

Cloud Storage... Hm...
The video only showcased about 2 GB of it so it will most likely be a pay-based system. Can't imagine saves taking up 1 GB though... At least not with what they have on their console.

I'd say 2GB is fairly generous for saves.

It is, but what I am saying is that I doubt you can exclusively store saves. You can probably store different content on it.

I'm hoping we're given options. If there's one thing I've learned from cloud storage? Automatic uploading is a hindrance and should never be turned on out the gate

I posted this elsewhere jsyk.

- Okay but wait where did the original video come from? There's no source on Twitter or anywhere else for that matter.

On the off chance this is real, In regards to the old YouTube logo, is it possible they just used it for the app to better distinguish it from the rest?

If this was real, this might be some kind of different development unit Nintendo uses for testing other things besides gaming development. Maybe this might be an example of that.

And with MK8DX being downloaded but the data not exactly adding up, it's possible it could be archived. We also haven't seen anymore of what else is on the console beyond Zelda.

Those three points might be difficult to believe, but you can't deny it's a possibility until the source of the video is found. Maybe instead of asking "When do we get all of this?" we should first ask, "Where did this video come from?"

I want to believe, and it sure does look legit, but at the same time I want to doubt this is actually real. If it's real, Maybe cloud storage is going to be part of the paid online service similar to psn and is also part of the reason why they delayed the online service? Also YouTube, Crunchyroll, and twitch all showcased in the video? That makes me want to doubt it even more.

Also HELLO 34 GUESTS HOPING WITH EVERY OUNCE OF THEIR LIFE THAT THIS IS REAL

And if that Twitch.tv media icon is real, wouldn't it be funny to capture 30 seconds of you streaming the Nintendo Switch while having it capture 30 seconds of you streaming the Nintendo Switch while having it capture 30 seconds of you streaming the Nintendo Switch while having it-

Am I the only one thinking that these kind of updates should've been released much earlier? How is cloud storage a feature for a 5.0.0 version?
