I decided to create a thread exclusively or this issue instead of clumping the Injector thread.

My current issue is that the WiiVC doesn't work at all. It doesn't matters if it is a legit Nintendo Wii VC release, a injected one, or a GCN one with Nintendon't. The Wii U simply can't transition into vWii. It doesn't loads anything : it only shows a black screen with the Wii logo and then after 1 minute or so it resets the Wii U.

After much trial and error, I'm settled on the vWii being the culprit. Here is my setup:

Wii U: CBHC installed and. A few games installed on USB, Wii U titles and VC ones I bought, and some others that I installed using WUP. I have a 1TB external-powered USB connected to the top-back USB port.
vWii : I remember hacking it a long time ago using Smash Stack to get HBC. I also think I installed some cIOS on it. Yet I never used it. vWii runs fine if I select it from the menu, and I also can go to HBC directly from CBHC's autoboot menu. I can boot up VC games insalled directly on it, but I haven't tried any retail Wii games.

So basically, as you see everything should work perfectly. I know it's not my SD because a legit Nintendo WiiVC release should work without any kind of SD. But it still doesn't.

I'm out of ideas. Been trying to solve this all day long to no avail. I suspect the problem has to be with vWii. Is there a way to "factory reset" the vWii (not the Wii U, as I have CBHC)?O is there any other thing I am doing wrong?

Mmm, maybe I need a certain fw.img to launch the games? Even although CBHC should be enough.

It still doesn't explains why it doesn't launchs the legit Wii VC game. Curiously, after showin the Wii logo on the GamePAD, no Wiimotes can sync to the console, and the GamePADS touchscreen responds if touched.

BIG UPDATE:

I wasn't vWii at all! I decided to use Mocha instead of CBCH to install Rhythm Heaven. I decided to install it directly on NAND and IT WORKED.
However, there's still one big fat issue: While in Mocha, I can't install anything to my USB. Nothing at all.

There's an error message saying that the USB storage was not found, but it only comes up at the end of the installation.
Which is funny because I can install the game to USB normally in CBHC.

So I guess the issue at hand is with the USB. Any ideas?

FINAL UPDATE: Solved the issue. It was my USB. Don't know why it couldn't launch vWii even although it has Wii U games on it. Tried a diferent USB and it worked like a charm. Kudos to everyone!}

I seem to be having a similar problem, not sure if you can help? My Wii U is running CBHC 1.6 but the vWii side hasn't been hacked as far as I know. I'm not bothered because for ease I would rather play Wii games off the same USB HD as all my other Wii U games. So, I was aquiring Wii ISO's and injecting them using Tecon Moon WiiVC Converter. Two worked (Punchout and Mario Strikers Charged) but two went to black screen and froze the Wii U (Wii Sports and Wii Party). Do you know if that is because they were from the wrong region (I'm PAL and they were NTSC I think) or can you only play certain Wii games via the VC Injector method?

AFAIK, region differences ocasionally provocate crashes. So make sure you have the correct region ISO and try again.
