Hello all,
I bought a 3DS XL with LumaCFW and many games on it about a year ago. I stopped playing it for about 4 months and picked it back up, however, it takes about 3 minutes to boot which is absurd. I know very minimal about 3DS hacking, and I'm good at following point and click instructions including moving files on a PC. I did not install the CFW so I have no idea what the 3DS model/firmware is or any of that.
If anyone can help me fix the boot up time and that's it, cause everything else works fine that would be amazing thank you.

So, I finished the first part of putting the files onto the SD card. However, I am running into this issue when running SafeB9SInstaller.
The image shows: It is stuck on "MicroSD Card - checking..."
Any suggestions? I looked around it doesn't seem like anyone else is having this issue.

OKAY WAIT. It finally worked, except I had to wait about 26 minutes for it to happen.
Should I be alarmed by this and stop and buy a new card first and continue?
Or should I just keep going with the process?

Actually, maybe I will buy a new card...
I am operating the menu now, and I have to get to system settings.
However, when I move too much in the menu I get this error message:
Any suggestions? Maybe further solidifying the fact to get a new sd card?

On that front, it's hard to say. It's definitely not normal. However, I recommend getting a new SD card based on the evidence we already have. It (should) fix all your current issues. And, transferring data is pretty simple, just cut and paste the entire contents of your old card to your new card. Of course, due to the state of your SD card, that may be an issue. Hopefully not, though, as it seems to always work eventually.

You guys act like SD cards are expensive... Just get a new one, it's not worth trying to figure out IMO when it's clearly an SD card issue. A cheap sandisk works fine (I've been using one since 2015 with no issues from Walmart) you guys don't need to buy a fancy fancy SD card to use in your console. Just regularly back up your stuff in case something happens, but in a 3DS you don't need the best of the best; just a legit card formatted correctly.

Seriously? That is a pretty relative matter. I've been in a economic hole for a very long time and even a 2nd hand PS2 game for 3 € feels expensive. I can understand when someone feels bad about buying something.

There's no way around this anyway. OP needs a new SD card.
