I made this account so I could ask this question and This Christmas I have got some money from relatives as always and would like to get a R4I GOLD 3DS RTS. My parents refuse to enter there information to nds-card because they think the process of buying the card is to sketchy although I showed them it was legit at least from the sources I found. So I just wanting to know where can I get the card that is legit as well as not looking like a scam.

Using PayPal is the safest way to do it, entering credit card details in directly is likely to get you scammed. Not to mention nds-card.com is the only trusted site. If you use any other site you're opening yourself up to being scammed.
Make your own PayPal account and link your bank details. You don't need your parents. If you don't have your own back account then get one and deposit the cash or buy a prepaid visa card (will cost you more).

I have a question about this as well. I see on the NDS-Card homepage they accept Visa/Master Card but when I go to checkout, all I get is Western Union/PayPal... That was all fine but it's not a typical PayPal checkout, I have to email them with my order number and then wait for them to reply with their PayPal account info. In addition, it asks me to leave the message field blank. It just seems a bit sketchy compared to something like Amazon, you know?

long story short flashcards are illegal in many countrys (including the usa) so in order to sell it they need to make it look (to paypal) like you are not buying a flashcard . . . and if you find one on amazon then thats sketchy as amazon may remove the sale at any time

I appreciate the details. I noticed that a while back and it's what kept me from getting one. I sent them an email, they replied almost immediately and reassured me everything is on the up-and-up. Sending the payment this afternoon. Cheers.

I am going to order mine today. If you want, I'll let you know how it goes!

In the USA: they bypass a security "feature", see DMCA

In many developed countries including the USA: they need to include a copyrighted game rom to get past the whitelist check of DSi and 3DS (without Luma), although how actually illegal this is (since it's required to run at all, and they don't let you otherwise benefit from said game) hasn't been proven in court AFAIK

For Paypal: they are a private business, not a public bank, who has the freedom to refuse any business for any non-discriminatory reason (probably meaning Big Console bribed them to refuse valid transactions they would have made a profit on)

Go for the R4i Gold Plus, the new RTS one with blue PCB is sensitive to certain SD cards and I'm not sure if they fixed it. Plus version is completely fine though.

Not sure if that is a bad sign or not, I did place an order the 27th, but since my email I got no answer yet from nds-card.
Should I be worry?

Update: My card came on the 5th but I didn't get around to ordering it until the 30th. I broke down and ordered the DHL shipping which was and extra $20. It was payday and I couldn't wait. I see why nds-card comes so highly recommended. Not only was the product exactly what I ordered but it even came with a magnet. I didn't think the R4i came with one, I was presently surprised. All in all, it was a great experience and I will be purchasing from them again.

Noob here looking for a little direction. Have a 2ds 11.6 USA version. I'm looking to install custom firmware and be able to download and play 3ds and ds games. Which flashcard is the recommended one?

Whichever is cheapest from https://3ds.guide/ntrboot. R4i Gold RTS (the more expensive one at like $20) supports save states in DS games I think.

I strongly recommend the R4i 3ds Gold Plus. It is the best out there at the moment for the price. It's $20 from NDS-card and shipping (from China) is pretty quick. You can use it for NTR boot (for you and your friends) and then also use it like a normal flashcard and put your old NDS games on there (as there are currently no good working DS emulators for 3ds homebrew).

Anytime someone tells you "the cheapest option is the best because.... I think", seriously question the advice. What you get for the extra $7 you'd pay between the cheapest and the best is more than worth it.

Good luck XD

i agree with everything you said save for this line . . . if i needed a ntrboot ds flashcard i would buy an ace3dsx (personally)

Have you seen anywhere out there selling the Ace3dsx Plus yet? Are they different?? I'm interested to see how it stacks up to the one I've got.
