Hello lads,

Just as the title states I am about to upgrade my rogero 4.55 to Rebug 4.81.

My questions before I do this are:

1) What is the best way to do it?

2) Will it break my current PSN pkg installs.

3) Am I better off just waiting until 4.82 comes out if I want to play online?

4) Do PS3 ID and version spoofers still work as they did back when 4.55 was the highest? I have my PS3 ID in a text file.

Thanks guys. Don't want to update and fix what isn't broke.

1) recovery mode
2) no
3) 4.82 rebug is out (lite version)
4) use psn patch, you don t need a spoof if you install rebug 4.82

Cheers buddy I'll give it a go. Any differences between LITE version and 8.21 rebug? Should be fairly simple to get to 8.22 full version rebug when I need to right?

If you plan to update to rebug 4.81.2 which I highly recommend over rebug 4.82 lite.... it being a lite version doesn't offer all the functionality that the REX version of 4.81.2. And yes you can spoof to 4.82 to use PSN but it's highly recommended to use the PSNPatch plugin with cobra mode to maximize your chances of not getting banned though you can always spoof/change your console id.

To answer your questions
1. you can install via xmb if already on CFW but it's recommended to install via recovery. It's the same process you used to install the 4.55 cfw.
2. No if you're already on a 4.xx CFW your installed games should be signed with the 4.21+ keys and should all work just the same as they do now.
3. Don't bother waiting SEN enabler can spoof you to 4.82 (just make sure rebug mode is active before you apply the spoof with it) and when 4.82 REX edition is released it'll be just as easy to update as this process is.
4. No changes have come about on that front. Spoofing is still possible for firm version, CID etc.

Hey guys,

I'm getting a Data is Corrupted (8002F325) error when I attempt to upgrade to 4.81.2 Rebug for CEX systems. This happens for both recovery menu and xmb. Any ideas?

I've validated the file and everything and tried multiple usbs. I've read some people are installing 4.55ofw and then updating or something. Has it got something to do with my romero 4.55CEX?

Okay I re-replaced my USB and it worked this time through the XMB. I've never had problems with either usb I think the ps3 is just very picky about the files it allows to pass through. My heart nearly sank when it rebooted into debug for the first time and paused halfway through the wave opening animation. It all worked out in the end though and everything is running smoothly for now cheers.

Hi all,

Can you provide me step by step on how you did this? Do you need to downgrade to 3.55 first? I just want to use aretimis cheats. I can't seem to get mamba working on rogeco 4.50 My options seems to upgrade to rebug which will allow cheats under cobra.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
