OP
ask someone what they consider cold
then match the temprature to this list
if its not on the list guess and pick the closest one

26*C = florida
-28*C = canaidia (canada)
20*C = brazil
15*C = cuba
-12*C = japan
-30*C = the motherland (russia)
12*C = pakistan
-10*C = ireland
-5*C = old america (england)
-13*C = germany
17*C = india
39*C = original hell (ancient greek/roman)
426*C = modern hell (christian and catholoc)
-216*C = space
37*C = my bedroom 75% of the year
21*C = my room during December
26*C = my room for the rest of the year
-12*K = the perfect temperature (atoms will vibrate backwards!)

My dad reminded me of when I was 6 or so and my sister younger still.
We were in California (got to see Disney as a kid and all that) having driven down over a few days and staying in a motel. This would be March-April sort of time.
They had a pool.

Apparently the receptionist came tearing out of the office as fast as her legs would carry her thinking we were drowning and saying all flustered "it is too cold for them".

"Lady, this is like our summer"

She wandered off shaking her head.

Guess those sea filled rock pools in Cornwall in my even more formative years in Septembers ( https://www.worldweatheronline.com/polzeath-weather-averages/cornwall/gb.aspx ) saw me made of different stuff.

Like most extremes in physics (very large, very small, very fast and I suppose technically this would be very slow) it gets... odd once you get there so technically there was that entropy such that by some approximations it was below absolute zero.
Even had a nice little discussion on it around here
http://gbatemp.net/threads/scientists-get-below-absolute-zero.340534/

Just to make memory even more confusing look up the thermodynamic triple point of water (short version is it is 273.16K).

As for close enough then afraid not. I can live without the .15 for most purposes but if you are playing at that level it is not even close and if you are using it as an absolute then your experiments are going to burn/evaporate.
