Bayonetta 1, 2, and 3 coming to Nintendo Switch

Bayo.png

Bayonetta 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch in February of 2018. I'm sure this will be great news to those who skipped these fantastic games on the Wii U.

On top of this amazing announcement, Bayonetta 3 has been confirmed to be in development for Nintendo Switch.

No it's not though. Your only reason you've given are sexy witch with guns, none of which is niche, especially sexy and guns, and them hack and slash combat, which is certainly not niche.
Look dude I love the Bayonetta franchise so much, but even I don't ignore the fact that theres just not enough people who enjoy this type of game to warrant a purchase from them in order to result in great sells (i.e. its a niche game)

Anyways back on topic I'm still very excited for all three of these games to come out on the switch! Hopefully the infinite climax edition comes over to North America as well

But apparently its sold good enough that Nintendo warrent a third installment. So your argument isn't holding up at the moment.

I feel as the decision for a third installment comes from how critically acclaimed both games are, not from how good the sales were (the bayo 2 sales werent really that good)

7 or 8 percent is great. It's no Mario or Zelda sales, but in a few years once the switch has been out for a while, if bayo 3 has sold to 7 or 8 percent of its owners it will likely be the most successful platinum game ever. On the ps4 7-8 percent would have been considered a hit. Unfortunately they published it during the Wii u period and not during the switch which is posed to outsell the Wii u in less that a year.

No, I wouldn't say 7 to 8 percent was great, it bombed and Nintendo definitely took a loss from it. Also I wouldn't exactly say that this game's sales would be a proportional growth, like there's really nothing concrete that would be able to backup the idea that this game in particular would have the same percentage of sales from the userbase across platforms, that's pure speculation at this point. Like just because it got 7 to 8 percent sales on the wii u does not mean that it will in turn get 7 to 8 percent sales on the switch's bigger user base. It might be more, or it might be less, we don't know yet and it's futile trying to make baseless assumptions right now. (I personally hope it sells more)

Why buy a console for a few games? Waste of money, honestly.

and just that part there should shine to my point.

when you have already bought these games, played them years ago, still own them, costs less on other systems.

I find it hard to believe the majority of the fanboys constantly quoting me (using the above as a short reason of my point), will likley own a wii u and will likely have bought this game also.

what i dont get is that these same fanboys slate the other systems, port wh0res, fps whores, violence whores, yet different story when nintendo gets ports dating back to 3 generations ago, they all get excited over an old violent fps.

it think deep down what it is, is that they are seeing all these titles hit the other systems and get upset/angry that it never comes to nintendo, well not until nintendo release a new system with the hardware.

so when people keep quoting me, because they have a different opinion or that theyre a fanboy, demanding i am wrong, they are right, yet insist i must accept their opinion, yet they keep (same formula) expect me to accept theirs, they refuse to accept mine.

when fans use the argument that its not even been a year yet..... it doesnt need to be, you can clearly see what is due for release so far, can see its mainly old ports with the odd new title here or there.

there is no mention of current new titles coming to the switch - we know the reasons for this.

what we have seen is one of the largest companies (EA) abandon nintendo after just one game..... its attempt to release a current gen title and it lacked the ability to do so.

when we stop been fanboys for just a moment and care to sit back and see how its a repeat thing when it comes to nintendo.

third parties during the first year test the waters porting its old games that nintendo didnt get.

sales do not meet expectations and this support then drops.

give it a year and it will be the same as the:
NES had excellent third party support
SNES again excellent third party support
N64 lacked third party support (but had some great titles)
Cube (sure cube had okish third party support, but lacked)
Wii (lacked, PS2/Cube third party ports mainly littered with shovelware party games)
WII U (DOA but again ports of PS3 titles nintendo missed out on first time).

And going back to the above, when you buy a console and it has little games to play, its a waste of money.

all i will say is if the fanboys do not believe me, then do not quote me, this is my opinion based on past performance, again do not quote me demanding your entitled to an opinion and must accept yours, if you dont like it, cant accept the facts then dont quote. (THIS PART IS NOT DIRECTLY AIMED AT YOU, BUT MAJORITY OF THE FANS QUOTING ME ALL THE TIME).

we will come back in a years time and watch how it all unfolds..... again.

If it wasnt the case and nintendo had the games i wanted to play, then i would buy them and be happy i have a console that has games i want to play....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

26 Switch games came out this week alone.
please name them, how many of them are shovelware indy apps?

It bombed because the console bombed. 7 or 8 percent on most consoles is a pretty big success for a third party dev team that isn't AAA. Bayonetta 3 will likely sell far better than most or all of their multiplat titles because it is on a system people own this time.

I went down the list once and counted 20 good physical Wii u exclusives. How is this just a few games? Every Nintendo system yet has had a whole catalogue of great games only available on Nintendo platforms as a reason to get the system. Ps4, another great system, has fewer good exclusive games. In other words it has a smaller library of games you would get the system to play. Never judge a home console by multiplat support because the game will always be better on your pc.

Yes but theres nothing that would say this game would get 7 or 8 percent sales on other consoles. If you had reading comprehension skills you would've realized that was a main point in my previous comment.

Maybe not 7 or 8 percent but it stands to reason if it is on a console that more people own then more people will buy it. If a game on pc, ps3 and 360 doesn't sell significantly better than one exclusive to Wii u then Nintendo is doing something right with marketing their products because the number of people that own those other systems is so much larger the ratio is probably around 50:1

And guess when this is all happening? Thats right, its happening while Platinum Games is still a third party and not an exclusive developer for Nintendo which reaffirms my original argument of why I find it very unlikely for Platinum Games to ever consider becoming a Nintendo exlusive developer because theres really very little benefits that would come from it. All this marketing will happen whether or not Platinum Games is a third party or first party.

Yeah why stick with the publisher giving you the best treatment and the most exposure. They should publish for sega, sony and microsoft, who gave them little to no funding and exposure, rather than becoming a 1st party nintendo dev which would lead to MORE exposure, money, and would likely cement more crossover easter eggs and bayo/some new platinum IP being in sm5sh.

The founder of platinum has stated that the company strives to eventually become a company that owns its own IPs, once its bought by nintendo all of its IPs it creates from henceworth will belong to Nintendo and not them which is not something they want.

The path platinum is on right now that will never happen. Its a much better decision, from both a business perspective and a 'freedom to create the product we envision without resources being an issue' perspective, for them to be a first party nintendo dev. Sega, microsoft and sony have all said before "yeah you can make this game for us, but if you want to do this we arent funding it you have to fork over the cash".
