It supports 3DS and NDS games in a microsd card, for now, no need to download kernel for playing 3ds games, here are the steps I do to play 3ds/ds roms with the Stargate 3ds.
1 Format a microSD card with FAT32 on a PC.
2 Download the “DS menu system files” from the official site , unzip it, copy the contents to my sd card's root.
3 Also download some DS/3DS roms from -snip-, I get the game code from my seller, put .3ds/,nds files to the root of sd card too.
4 Plug the Stargate 3ds, it will show a 3ds game icon firstly. When I want to play ds games, press the 2 buttons on the card at a time, so the Stargate 3ds will enter into DS mode.

What kind of DS menu they are using?
It will be funny if the DS menu has timebomb .
Also, how the card fits on 3DS? Does it need force to put it on 3DS like super card dstwo or R4i gold?
Or fits easily like any 3DS game?

One question, do the ds roms work the same way as 3ds roms, meaning it emulates the actual cartridge rather than just put you into a menu where you select a rom. In other words, can i put pokemon black on it and then use it with poke transporter?

DS flashcards (and stargate too) work by spoofing some random game so I think you're outta luck with poketransporter.

Look here for the alex rider icon (proof it does spoofing too).

It's wood as you can see in the promotion video and in the files they uploaded. Wood has no timebomb.

You can get more features if you don't emulate the cartridge directly (and you probably can use some dirty hacks that you couldn't use with direct emulation).

i know, but it would be more cool if i can have a cart that can emulate 3DS and DS games without using other OS.

The 3SD mode does emulate a retail game cart. The DS mode one does not and even still there are other options to do whatever it is you wanted to do with poketransporter.

Stargate 3DS is using the Acekard RPG kernel, I can see where people would get Wood to be the kernel it mimics however it's not the case for this (Wood is based off the original RPG kernel). The flashcart has two modes, DS mode and 3DS mode, both are pretty obvious with their purpose. Now I saw someone mention how the kernel doesn't look like the DSTWO kernel, that's true but the DSTWO kernel was kinda clunky and unfinished versus the RPG kernel.

What I really want to know about the Stargate 3DS is it's hardware, especially it's CPU. I want to compare it against my DSTWO Plus.

Why do you think that it's the RPG kernel and not wood r4?

It still looks like a combination of sky3DS+ and r4i Gold 3DS(r4ids.cn) flashcards. Just wondering if the price is more cheaper..

Sadly most european resellers are selling close to 90 euros, if you shop around and try out all the resellers listed on the official site, you can find it as low as 70 euros.

The retail price should be lower, but sadly alot of resellers have bought either low amount of stock or are overcharging, but they will learn and the price will come down.
