You could buy a cheap supported flashcard and do the ntrboothax method. All of the info is listed in the guide I linked.

I have a decrypted .3ds file with the european version of the fire emblem awakening game and I don't have a real 3ds. What should I do the patch the game with the gay hack? What tools do I need? Could you help me? I am using the city emulator.

Look into HackingToolkit3DS. Extract your .3ds file with it, overwrite the romfs files with the files from the hack (use those from the region of the game you're playing), rebuild your .3ds.

I'm using the rom and up there everything is fine, but at the time of the text with the person I want to join, it only tells me that no text has reached the "S" range.
I am using the game (in Spanish) and the same happened to me in Fire Emblem Fates, if someone could help me I would be very grateful!
I use the luma version of EUR (obviously)

Not sure if anyone has asked this before but I followed the instructions in one of the past post talking about using ntr cfw to play the hack. I got the screen to glitch but when I go to support I can’t be gay. Any clue on where I messed up?

Make sure you have your files in the correct place and that you've started a new save file as the hack messes with your current supports.

Just checked and I had an old romfs.bin file back from when I used Hans to play the hack. Works perfectly now thank you!

Oh No! I just bought a n3ds to play this game and am yet to play it. Has now knowing that you can marry in the game, spoilt it for me? I hope not as I was so looking forward to playing it I have only read the first few posts of this thread.

I wouldn't call knowing you can get married a spoiler as I'm pretty sure they announced that when the game was first coming out (they did for Fates at least). As long as you don't go and read the story of the game, you'll be fine.

I truly hope you can give me a hand here because i'm out of my element. I downloaded the HackingTool and i have a decrypted .3ds (usa version). When i lunch the software i get i series of options and by pressing D ("extract a .3DS file) i get to write the name of the file that i want to extract....and that's as far i got (i got a message saying "Congratz! you extracted the file", which is BS because i lost all papers as we say and wrote "F#¬k this" and i still got the same congratulations xD
I tried typing FireEmbleAwakening, i tried writing that same thing with Citra running in the background, i pressed and executed every single thing in there and nothing.

As i said, completly outside of whatever little expertise i have..tried looking for tutorial but they all involve an actual 3ds and that's something i don't have. Any clues how can i get those pesky little romfs?

Don't try and do it while Citra is running. Follow this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-how-to-decrypt-extract-rebuild-3ds-cia-cxi-files.383055/. If you can't follow that, then I cannot help you. Make sure that the .3ds is in the same folder as the HackingToolkit.exe file and that the file name of the .3ds contains no spaces. If you are using a decrypted .3ds, use v9 of HackingToolkit.

I do a question tho, the C rank conversation betweeen Vaike and Stahl goes straight to the notification that they know have the C rank..no scene or anything. Is this sort of thing normal?

It is normal if they don't have a written conversation inserted for them yet. You can check the first post to see if they have a conversation for them or if the option is available.

Wireless transfer will work. Just make sure you have a means of running the hack (either via Luma or HANS and the Homebrew Launcher, non-CFW). Just having the files on your SD card isn't enough.
