Hacking Ps3Xploit - Now Install CFW from 4.82 OFW : NOR/NAND Software Flash Writer + NOR Dumper Released

Trying to run the exploit on a phat ps3 using reds page I've managed to get the write to nand memory button to say success about 5 times now but I never get to beep and shut down. I've also tried two different USB sticks with the little file in the root formatted in fat32 and still no luck with the shut down? Any ideas?

Thanks, also i have to point to something important, i didn't downgrade any thing, i used the hack from PS3 browser on ofw 4.82 then installed normal Ferrox then cobra Ferrox.

I have a Phat. 80GB model. I know it works with this exploit. My question is, what's next after I get cfw? Do I have to worry about a ban? Keep in mind that I don't really go online with my PS3 except to watch WWE Network and Youtube. I don't plan on playing any multiplayer.

The instructions are on the front page for a reason. Gonna have to replace that motherboard and get someone to install it. If you had dumped the NOR first you probably could have saved it by reflashing it back to the system

Hello, quick question. Does all of this have to be done using a USB Flash Drive in particular? Can I use an external HDD for the Exploit after I manually update the system to OFW 4.82? Also, My PS3 is a slim I've had since 2010 with model number 2001B. This is usable right?
