Guys,

That is the question. Anybody knows how, or if I can use the full NAND of my WiiU and use it on CEMU? I already sold my WiiU, but I made sure to backup my full 8gb NAND files and some of the other files needed.

The thing is, I haven't found anything regarding a FULL Nand dump and Cemu. I have seen tutorials were people use Filezilla to extract some files from their WiiU's to play online on CEMU.

How could I do this, if I have my full NAND? (but not my WiiU)

If anyone knows anything, please let me know! It would be good to extract my saves also!

Cheers guys and thanks in advance

You need the NAND key for that, and I believe it's console unique. And since you no longer have the console there's no way for you to get the key.

Your nand is encrypted (or at least that's how it works with Nintendo's other consoles) The only way to decrypt it is a console-specific key. If you don't have that key, you won't decrypt the nand. You need the physical console to extract the key. There's no way to generate one, and without it all you have is encrypted garbage.

(I have no experience with the Wii U and have never owned one, please correct me if what I say is incorrect)

I have the NAND:

mlc.bin.part01 2gb
mlc.bin.part02 2gb
mlc.bin.part03 2gb
mlc.bin.part04 1.6gb

These are around 8gb in total, anybody know how to extract them by the way?

And I also have these from the same WiiU of course:

otp.bin
seeprom.bin
slc.bin
slccmpt.bin

Isn't the "key" in any of those files? Wasn't otp.bin the file needed to decrypt the NAND?

I wasn't that stupid too just dump the Nand without following the required steps. Or maybe I still need something else?

Thank you guys and thanks for the help.

otp.bin and maybe seeprom.bin are needed to decrypt the NAND. There is a tool to dump contents of WFS: https://github.com/koolkdev/wfslib (read the readme)

Thank you man! You really helped me here! With this I will be able to continue!

By te way, let's say I can use my WiiU Nand on Cemu, wouldn't I get banned if I use it with CEMU? That is, if the the new user also uses the WiiU? Though I told the guy specifically NOT TO ever use my user (where Haxchii is installed).

I haven't heard a clear answer on that issue really.

Thanks again! You guys are great!

Wii U bans are pretty rare, the only times I've heard of it happen was as a result of using detectable cheats in games like Splatoon.
But since you are basically cloning the Wii U anything could happen.

The funny thing is, a had already Unbanned that console, because a douche sold it to me completely banned. I remember I replaced a number in a .XML file and ta daaam, unbanned from eshop and everything else! :yayu: I have never cheated in my life.

Maybe if I create a new user on this NAND, then I could be saved from being banned. Cheers and thanks again ;)

Wow this is super fascinating knowing that with a decrypted NAND backup you can basically clone your console :O pat on the back to the developers.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
