I have a9hl luma (some early version that doesn't autoupdate anymore) on my n3ds xl.
Should I even bother with updating? What are the important things about it? I feel like I should not touch something that is kinda working.

You don't have to right now but at some point you will have to. Up to you. At least update to 7.0.5 so you can update to the latest firmware without problems (extract this and replace your arm9loaderhax.bin) https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/download/v7.0.5/Luma3DSv7.0.5.7z

Thank you for the answer, but what problems are we talking about here?
Also how do I update it? Just overwrite the old folder with this?
You may find in a future firmware update that you get a black screen and can't access your home menu. So just keep an eye out on the forums when there's a new update, to make sure A9LH/old Luma will still work (if it won't, you'll want to update to B9S before updating your firmware).

Overwrite the old arm9loaderhax.bin file with the one in the archive (it's not a folder).

I wasn't really going to update anyway. Thanks again.

hey! i have a question again, so on my new 3ds i have b9s install ( was al9h but updated it). I dont have any games installed currently but 12 gb of space is used on my sd card. so im hoping someone can help me find out what i can delete so i have more room for games. I'm going to attach my pictures of my SD card so you can see what im dealing with. I've narrowed it down to this folder. can i just delete it?

That folder contains all your installed games and save data. Go into GodMode9, and visit the folder. Then go into a folder inside the 00040000, into content, then press A on the .tmd Press TMD file options... Show title Info
Then you'll know what game it is so you can determine whether or not you want to delete it. You can do it all from inside GM9.

Looks like I still can't Boot NTR selector to work again on my N3DS.

The menues displayed when I press X+Y are Process Manager, Enable Debugger, Set Hotkey, Take Screenshot, Real-Time Save, CPU Clock, Power and Screen Filter.

This is how my sd card looks, so I don't see the problem and would appreciate some help.

If you can get into the menu like that, it's working. So you mean to say your game plugin isn't working, because NTR definitely is..... Now what game are you using cheats for and where did you get the plugin? Not all of them use the NTR menu for cheats; a lot use a button combination to open a cheat list (usually select) or some don't have a menu at all and work with button presses automatically. YOU need to figure out how your plugin operates.
