Hello folks
I have installed retroarch on my vita principally for playing mame. I am using the mame 2000 core and the correct roms.
My main difficulty is trying to get cheats to work.
Can anyone help me out?
Cheers

Downloading from work LOL
Let's see what this means hehehe
Maybe Dolphin, 1964, project 64 and many others surprises!!! :rofl2:

I downloaded from work too (we have the fiber here, otherwise it's too long). It took age to download, and after analyzing what's inside the zip and each vpk, it seem that the databases (*.rdb) are duplicated as well as the resources for xmb (wich is normal I guess... but it become to be too big)

I can't seem to run many Playstation games particularly NTSC games on retroarch standalone or pcsx rearmed. I have all three bios in the system folder correctly named and the game is in bin/cue format but for example Silent Hill and Brave Fencer Musashi crash and restart my vita shortly into the games intro FMV movie. Do i need only one bios in the folder instead of all three?

yeah, do that and do a proper dump of your games. Are you playing with a patched rom? Maybe the patch is the problem?

i've tried removing two of the BIOS files but that doesn't help and no, they're not patched roms and they should be good rips, have checked both on pc. Any other ideas?

Hi,

Looking for some advice to get some Neo Geo games to work as I am finding it impossible! I have the NeoGeo zip file in my system settings and some zipped rom files (soccerbrawl & street hoops, both zipped) in a ROMS folder I made with some other gba games. I also copied the NeoGeo zip file in that folder - don't know if i should have! it seems to load the emu fine but the games don't run. I suspect it has something to do with this 'must contain UniBIOS as well, place in same directory as ROMsets)'

I thought I'd found the right file (Uni-Bios-32) and put it in my ROMS folder but the games won't load 'No items.'/ 'Failed to load content'

Appreciate any help!

Consider PFBA instead.
Also, emulators can be really picky about the Neo-Geo BIOS. You may have to try several different versions before you'll get the desired results.
Thanks for replying. Okay, I've downloaded the PFBA vpk. I've also downloaded a fba_029742.zip file which i think I also need - do I? What folder do I put it in? Do I still need to use NeoGeo.zip file or UniBios? Sorry for all the questions and no worries if you're too busy to help me out (bit of a noob as you can probably guess!)
