There is no known games that have incompatibility assuming they use classic controller pro setup. Is there a list out there?
Yes, so there is a special value inside a .xml file that if changed to a certain value will make the gamepad emulate a classic controller. Using custom patches it is also possible to emulate wii mote. However that is more experimental and may have issues. if value is 1, it will not allow you to use a gampead. if a value of 6666 or something like that, will enable gamepad emulation as classic controller. And then doing fw.img patches can allow it to also act as a wiimote.hmm? so if a game has classic controller support then the game pad will act as a classic controller?
I mean on an unmodded wii uYes, so there is a special value inside a .xml file that if changed to a certain value will make the gamepad emulate a classic controller. Unless you buy them from the eshop then none will work as you need to run a cfw for them to work. If you are buying from the eshop then only 3 games on there work using the WiiU remote they areI mean on an unmodded wii u
well there is only a couple of titles you could do that then. get it modded, it would be well worth your time.I mean on an unmodded wii u
oh hell ya, I would mod the wii u in a heart beat but...it's not mine, it belongs to a friend of mine...who thinks userland homebrew will brick your system, so yeah... :/ otherwise I would mod his vwii so I could just pop in my portable drive with my wii game collection rather than bring all the rockband and guitar hero gameswell there is only a couple of titles you could do that then. get it modded, it would be well worth your time.
Tell your friend he's wrong. Won't brick your system unless you try and modify system files and you don't know what you're doingoh hell ya, I would mod the wii u in a heart beat but...it's not mine, it belongs to a friend of mine...who thinks userland homebrew will brick your system, so yeah... :/ otherwise I would mod his vwii so I could just pop in my portable drive with my wii game collection rather than bring all the rockband and guitar hero games
Even with 5.5.2, although highly not recommended, you can install and launch content without modding your Wii U permanently. Again, the entry point for 5.5.2 is very unstable, so it's not recommended, but you could...I mean on an unmodded wii u
I have tried time in and time out and he won't listenTell your friend he's wrong. Won't brick your system unless you try and modify system files and you don't know what you're doing
tell him that everything that could brick him is in another folder. And the stuff your modding can't brick him since it doesn't install into that folder. (prosuming you are using haxchi, or web browser sploit for stuff, and not coldboothax for anything.) tell him that when you install cfw, you don't necessarily install it, but is loaded into memory, which means once shutdown it goes back to a normal console. And it cannot brick due to the fact that cfw is loaded into memory and is not touching any files that would result into a brick. And if some mistake where to be made, the system can be shutdown and everything would be fine. (presuming somehow mocha was not working properly, which it does modfiy a certain file while in memory, but that file is always loaded into memory. And also assuming your not installing a system title, or something like sysconfig corrupted version) Oh and make sure you explain that memory means that once off, the memory is wipped, which normally happens.I have tried time in and time out and he won't listen
I have explained it to him in detail I told ya, he doesn't care and assumes any and all modding can bricktell him that everything that could brick him is in another folder.
