I still installed and run the pokemon gold cia file fine on my o3ds and no crashes. Did you try to redownload and reinstall the cia file? And did you try to download and install those cias from another source (that iso site, wii u usb helper,...)?

Iso site and other places work perfectly fine just villain3ds crashes for me unfortunelly :c

It's very simple, you can use some online site like onlinemd5.com; or a very small offline tool like winmd5.com. Just download the tool to your PC, open the exe file, then drag-drop each of the cia files to the window, then copy the MD5 checksum value and show it to me.

I only tested with PKM Gold (still downloading Layton's Mystery Journey right now), and my cia's checksum is matched as yours. So the cia is not corrupted.

The problem might be related to the "seed" like @thom_tl said. Any games that require the firmware newer than 9.6 will need a "decryption seed" for them to work, otherwise those games will just freeze at boot screen, or "exception" will happen if using luma.

I don't know why I didn't need any other steps to get the game works. But try this:

* Uninstall and reinstall a game downloaded from villain3ds (example pkm gold) like normal.
* Try to open that game if you want. You will probably get the exception screen like usual.
* Restart the 3ds. Try to open the eShop, and go to that title page description (browse the page or search to find it).
* Go back to HOME menu and try to reopen that game.

If you can open the game after doing this then the decryption seed is the problem. I don't know why this is only happening with villain3ds. In that iso, chaos site those cia is already cryptofixed so it will work out of the box. About other apps like Wii U usb helper, maybe they are already included the seed with the cia pack (or cryptofixed it automatically) somehow.

Also, what version of FBI are you using to install those cias?

by the way Where is the DLC?
It is convenient, but there are some limitations. (Like Freeshop)
Is there an option to enter titleid directly?

Did you really do exactly that? I know the game'll work if you redownload it from eShop, but this time I want you to only visit the description page of that game on eShop, not downloading it. It's a simple trick to get the some newer games to work if those games require additional seeds.

It's a bit weird, but you just need to visit that game's page on eShop then get out to HOME menu. The eShop will acquire the seed for you.

It's already compatible, you just need to click "I'll download it myself" and copy the link it provides in Jdownlaoder, following the instructions. I used it like this with no problem, since the integrated downloader wasn't working properly for me.

Ok, going to the description really fix it.

From version 2.2.2 FBI will automatically get the seed from "kagiya server" so I think your 3ds was not connected the the internet when instaling those cias?
Maybe I can make the app to download the seed after an cia is created, but it will be in a seperated file and you must manually put the seed in your sdcard at /fbi/seed/. I remember @AnalogMan suggested this feature too, so I'll do some more research and try to add this feature when I have time.

I dunno, there is no update title in that titlekey site too. You can download the update directly from eShop if the game's region is the same as your console. If you want the app to generate the rom that are playable on emulator then maybe soon.

the problem is that I do not have a 3ds I use citra, in Brazil it's not possible to buy one now, it's expensive and there's no more pokemon games, sorry for my bad english

Nothing "worse". I eventually found out that the calculated speed seems correct, but is way slower than it should be and there's something in the app that wastes bandwidth for some reason. Anyway, it's not a dealbreaker since the app is very nice and gets the job done
I'll use Jdownloader until the bug is hopefully fixed, if you need any other info to try and diagnose the problem just ask.

I understand, there is no official nintendo store/retailer here too, so it's hard to buy one 3DS. You should use Wii U usb helper to download and create a playable rom for citra for now.

hey @tranxuanthang how can I use this I've tried to download ok downloaded it fine but whenever I try to unzip or extract here... on desktop it throws me an error saying: Could not open the archive as [7z]compacted archive
Headers Error.
What do I do and thanks for this tool can't wait to use this.
