It happened to me for a moment, rebooted the phone and everything was alright again.
Perhaps just a coincidence, or perhaps that refreshed some cache in the phone or something.

I've been noticing super annoying pop up ads that take over the whole tab and I have to open gbatemp in a new tab today. I don't think I've ever gotten those on here. If I keep getting them I might look into getting an adblocker.

The mobile version of Firefox has add-on support, meaning you can use uBlock with no problems.

Well, if it is just about plugging your everyday browser app, then Samsung's "Internet" app is just chrome with add-on support, including ad-blockers.
I "wonder" why don't they implement that functionality in vanilla Chrome.

I'd rather not use an Adblock at all, at least for GBAtemp. I have to admit the mobile ads are quite annoying, but it seems to just be a temporary issue, as it happened a few days ago, and then was fixed. (iOS has a great Adblock in the form of Purify, though)

I find the annoying ads ago away when you request desktop site

Yup, I'm a $5+ backer and I'm also seeing ads on the mobile page
