Homebrew PKSeed - Check current seed of Gen 7

What's PKSeed:
For people like me, who don't want to modify game saves but want to hatch perfect/shiny eggs, we can use RNG method to get targeted eggs.

To get current seed, there were two methods:
1. Hatching 127 Magikarps and use a calculator to get seed - spend a lot of time
2. Exporting save file and use PKHex to check seed - need to export save and copy file to PC

Now, you can use PKSeed to get current seed with TSV directly on your 3DS.

Pros of PKSeed:

• No need to use PC to check seed anymore
• No need to eject / insert your SD card anymore
• Forget current seed when hatching? Just use PKSeed to check again!

Any way for a .cia ?
Didn't touch the HL for a long time, and I love to have everything I need for RNGing in the home menu of my N3DS.

There's no .cia version now since homebrew launcher provides title selection function, which is convenient for people have both Sun and Moon in their SD card.
Maybe I will add this feature later so that the app can be packaged as .cia file.

I'd like to learn more about this. I know the egg will hatch shiny if it matches the trainer's TSV, but what can the seed be used for exactly?

There's some guide on the Pokemon RNG subreddit (r/PokemonRNG)
You can know how to have the egg of your choice with this seed. With a tool, you'll know how many eggs you have to take / discard in order to hit the right egg.

Well if you looked at the page more, there's a shiny breeding guide for non-Masuda Method/Shiny Charm, and one for the Masuda Method/Shiny Charm. The seed when inputted in 3DSRNGTool (link shows that program's download location as well), along with the IVs and natures, abilities of the parents, all that determines what eggs will be made and how many eggs you have to accept and reject in order to get a shiny. The non-Masuda Method/Shiny Charm is quicker as it turns into basically an Event RNG where you hit a certain frame to turn any egg into a shiny. The latter is more traditional. Again the guides explain it better than me, I just gave a gist.

I might get into this with Ultra Sun, as I enjoyed RNGing in Soul Silver (and to a lesser extent in White). I only really moved to straight up genning because Gen 6 didn't have a way to properly RNG.

Is there something like the RNG reporter for Gen 7 to go along with this to figure out which egg is supposed to inherit what?
