Fire Emblem Heroes managed to be one of the best gatcha games, and one of the most generous, so Nintendo has set a high precedent for this game now. Also should be noted that the website specifically notes that the direct will NOT feature any announcements or information related to Animal Crossing for Switch or 3DS.

Nintendo Switch or 3DS, information on "Animal Crossing" is not included.
※ Information on smartphone applications other than "Animal Crossing" is not included.
* We will broadcast a pre-recorded presentation.

I would love Animal Crossing on my phone. It would be even greater if you could create cities with your friends together.
But I wouldn't download stuff like Happy Home Designer or so.

What we all really want is that pay to play Zelda mobile game. It'll probably be a link to the past but with micro-transactions. Want the master sword to beat the game? Sorry, that'll cost 10 dollars!

It's probably gonna be animal crossing themed miitomo, with equally limited interactions with other people. Its probably going to have limited (if any) character control and will be solely about completing subpar minigames to get bells for buying clothes and decorations that boil down to an image you can put in the small room your character will stand in all the time. you're only gonna get 20 bells at best per game, and one chair or wallpaper will likely cost three or four thousand bells incentivising you to buy the 4.99 package of five thousand bells, but if you wanna save money, you can go for the 50 dollar package and get a hundred thousand bells, its totally a better deal cause its got more money than just buying a bunch of 5 dollar packages. lets not forget the energy systems, its gotta have those too. its basically mobile game law at this point.
