Hacking Puyo Puyo Tetris Translation (WIP)

Thanks checked it out and i must say what has been done is very good. Just needs a bit more translation and would be perfect. you dont need to translate every thing to enjoy this game

So I tried to brute force this simply by replacing the Wii-U assets with the Switch assets. Obviously I have no idea what i'm doing because it caused the game to crash. The Switch assets are larger and have a slightly different naming convention I changed those relevant TZIP files to the original wii-u game file names. and replaced them. However the moment it reaches a part of the game where it needs those files it crashes O.o. Revert changes.

However, the content that was WIP does work correctly.

Hey everyone! Your project and all your efforts are my dream come true! I have a modified Wii U and I use Loadiine to play Puyo Puyo Tetris from my SD card. Is your translated version of the game working on an actual Wii U or is it working only on an emulator?

If it works on Wii U, do you have an estimation of when your first beta will be available? I would love to get my hands on it even if it is not 100% done! I would at least be able to test if it works on my Wii U.

I don't think what I have is fit to put on github, but I'll go ahead and post it here. There's a build with the files packed up that's about two days behind the progress we stopped at and translated much of the menu UI (and includes a "translated by" screen which I don't know how to get rid of right now), with some incorrectly scaled words of the head options so that they could fit in the sprite's dimensions. I won't bother posting any additional vectored images not covered by this patch, unless requested, because the Switch cartridge of the game has been dumped

Hello everyone & welcome to the Puyo Puyo Tetris (PPT) Translation thread.

If you want to play PPT in english on your Wii U, follow this trhead because is going to happen. We have been working hard in the last two weeks to provide a full translation with the best quality in all areas. In this time, we were able to develop the tools, process, and translation workflow to complete this project. Special thanks to the user Flurry because this team was formed on it's thread.

As a Wii U owner, I want to have the best tetris experience on the console and this game have the plus of including another great puzzle option.

I don't think what I have is fit to put on github, but I'll go ahead and post it here. There's a build with the files packed up that's about two days behind the progress we stopped at and translated much of the menu UI (and includes a "translated by" screen which I don't know how to get rid of right now), with some incorrectly scaled words of the head options so that they could fit in the sprite's dimensions. I'm not home yet so I can't tell and tbh I don't know if I find the time for it today but you pack it with "NUS Packer".

Well, since i just spent over 5 minutes navigating folders and dropping files, and trying to figure out where they go, i figured i would save the headache for everyone else and i made a .7z file with all the mods with proper folder structure for the people attempting to play this on CEMU, or simply to extract these files into their dumped games folder.

Simply extract the attached file and over write into the "content" folder of your dumped game.

Because honestly, the way it was distributed is infuriating, and horribly intuitive for most users.

I sorted things to be more noob friendly.
Unzip my attached file. Insert the three folders (code, content, meta) into the "game" folder and run "Encrypt.bat", then you'll find the installable game in the "install" folder.

After you've done, copy the "install" folder to SD:\install\. Might be confusing but you should have this then:
SD:\install\install\ <- and here are your files and the ticket.
Rename the last install folder to something like puyo, so you have:
SD:\install\puyo\

Get Puyo Puyo Tetris through Wii U USB Helper. Copy all the files to SD:\install\puyo as well but without overwriting any existent files because I found out some of the big files were missing after repackaging the patched files with NUS Packer.

Now that you have everything in place, run a CFW and WUP Installer to install the game.

I tested the game with Loadiine from my SD card and it works well. But if I understood you correctly, I should be able to install the game on my USB drive with WUP installer after I use your batch file? So far, the only games I was able to install on my HDD or USB were the ones I downloaded with uTikDownloadHelper. Everything else I got worked only with Loadiine on my SDcard..

Well, no matter what, I'm so excited to play Puyo Puyo Tetris with my friends and be able to at least reach the multiplayer menus with some english text! It's so great!

I moved the content folder (which has all the translated files) into the game folder. There is no files for the code and meta folders is there ?...
When I run the batch file all it does is create an empty output and tmp folder?
Go I wish I new more about codes and scripts. Do you know what I am doing wrong please ?...

I'm quite newbie with Wii U (I bought a used one a few weeks ago).

Do I need a particular hack BEFORE using lordelan's tutorial? What I mean is.. I have a 5.5.2 and I installed Haxchii on it. But I didn't go further. It means all I was able to install were games I downloaded from uTikDownloadHelper. I skipped the CFW Booter stuff because of the risk someone might delete it in my home (I know it sounds weird but my brother has a handicap and he's awesome at playing Mario BUT sometimes he does play around the Wii U icons and do bad stuff like deleting my saved games.. You see?

TLDR : I have no CFW Booter but I have Haxchii, can I do what lordelan said and have a PuyoPuyo icon on my Wii U menu?
