CFW sysnand/emunand wont load even if i booted with the Luma3ds configuration menu "autoboot Emunand, etc" (im not sure where it actually goes when i boot it but when i go to setting it shows "Ver. 11.4.0-37U") -check image-

:(

NOW MOST GAMES ARE MISSING, SOME ARE STILL THERE.

here's the story:

started playing pokemon sun and decided to use pokebank... found out that i cant access the eshop but wasnt sure why as per my research others were able to do so(i use b9s and luma3ds)... but found out that i had to format system memory but didnt do it... so i played around on Godmode9 menu... and tried to back up Emunand and it was succesful but then tried to back-up my Sysnand and it failed... only to find out that there isnt enough space... so i rebooted and noticed MOST OF MY GAMES ARE GONE IN HOME!!!! but the games are still there on the SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT SETTINGS -check image - :(

3DS PROBLEM.jpg

what did i do??? i dont know... did i deleted my emunand?? was the emunand and sysnand unlinked? did i delete the cfw sysnand? or was it unlinked from the very beginning? and deleted the one i used to use? im sorry im such a noob...

im so sure i followed everystep on the 3dsguide maybe 6-8 months ago... and played normal eversince.

PLEASE HELP I'M A TOTAL NOOB... I JUST FOLLOW STEPS OVER THE NET...

PS. I TRIED UPDATING LUMA3DS and TRIED CHECKING AND UNCHECKING THE STUFF ON LUMA3DS CONFIG MENU(autoboot emunand, etc.) NOTHING HAPPENS... WHAT SHOULD I DO???

all before my failure i was able to play online, install game with cia, and use freeshop most of the times(updates and dlc)...

:(( please help a noob :(

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT I CANT ACCESS MY EMUNAND? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I'd say put your SD card in your computer and post a shot of it. If you put too much data on your SD card without enough space, usually, some data might get corrupted.

Are you sure you have an emunand? If you followed 3ds.guide then you shouldn't. It shows Ver becsuse you just disabled that option in luma config (show nand string in sys settings). About the games disappearing did you remove the Nintendo 3DS folder in your SD card?

yes, i do think ive install the emunand properly back then? i swear. just last week i updated to 11.6 cause i cant get online on my games.

so if i enable the "show nand string in system settings" it means its already installed??? does that mean im actually booting on CFW SYSnand? and its safe to update???

and NO, i did not move anything from the nintendo 3ds folder on my sd card...( i dont even know its purpose, storing my 3ds games i guess?)

You didn't lose your CFW, so there is no reason to try anything on the guide again. You'll just make things worse.

You can get your games back by installing Tikshop and running it. All those games that show up with an "x" in data management are just missing the tickets. Any Homebrew you had that disappeared like that will need to be reinstalled.

Most likely it happened because you attempted to backup a NAND that didn't exist, then when you tried to back up your sysnand without enough space it failed and I'm assuming it confused your console and got you to where you are now. You did not remove your CFW, you can't without doing it on purpose.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you followed the guide 6-8 months ago you would have had A9LH. You wouldn't have an emuNAND at all unless you either made one on purpose after the fact. Even if you had one prior, the guide has you flash your emuNAND to sysNAND to create a single NAND setup.

Anyway, I'd advise you to stop messing with things in Godmode. If you run into an issue, ask here don't ask some random on FaceBook or follow some video on YouTube. No one here would have told you to format your device, the ONLY reason you couldn't access Pokebank is because you were/are on 11.4 and you have to be on the latest firmware to use it.

Try just taking the SD card out and putting it back in again.

I already did a dozen times... but nothing is changing..

i used to access my emunand CFW with rxtools.net or scan the QR code i saved also through the internet... and thats when tried luma3ds cause rxtools went down... and yes, i do think i also had A9LH and upgraded to B9S...?? :( I'm sorry.. i had no clue what to do... i cant access pokebank and eshop because of this ERROR: 022-2634... and got the conclusion of reformatting because of my research... sorry

so what should i do then?? install tikshop and reinstall all of my games?? do i lose all of my SAVE DATAS? AND does this mean i can safely update the system even if it appears as Ver. 11.4.0-37U.?

i'll post an image of what appears on the luma3ds config... nothing is crossed... and when i press start and i go to the settings.. thats what appears... AM I ON EMUNAND?? SYNAND CFW?? my whole 3ds life i thought there was SYSNAND... and EMUNAND... and EMUNAND is the hacked version or SYSNAND where i get to play and stuff without messing the STOCK SYSNAND... because i access 2 systems back then... SYS(no games, just legitimate ones) AND EMU(all games and can go online)... am i right? im sorry im such a noob..

So the reason those games are appearing like that is because the system recognizes the games' data, but doesn't recognize the games as being installed to that system. Basically if those games were installed to the emuNAND, it simply sees the data from that emuNAND and shows the data. They just need their tickets to be re-installed for the system to recognize them as being installed to that system.
Second, I suggest checking the "gm9" folder to see if there is a partially backed up NAND file in there. If there is, delete that file because it's completely useless to you and just taking up space.
Although I don't quite understand why you had to format your SD card, updating doesn't require reformatting your SD card. If you backed up your emuNAND, then you just need to move that completed NAND backup off your SD card to make more room of your SD card.
It just sounds like you are you either accidentally reformatted your emuNAND or ran out of space. If you still have your successfully backed up emuNAND, you can either restore that to your sysNAND or emuNAND. That should resolve the issue if it was properly backed up and you make sure your have the space on your SD for it

Well your error code specifically means:

022-2634 An error has occurred.
Please try again later.

If the problem persists, please make a note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com.

The association between the account and device has been invalidated on the server.

Can occur in cases such as when system initialization is forcibly interrupted

That implies you did something to your console such as turning it off during a system writing operation or restored a bad NAND backup.

So formatting would have been the ideal solution, although you should have used Tinyformat vs systemformat and it would have preserved the data on your SD card. Too little, too late now though.

Again, the vers thing in system settings is due to the option being ticked off in Luma settings. If you can access Luma config AT ALL you have CFW regardless of what that says. Yes, you can update your console.

You're right about emuNAND but unless you flashed it to your sysNAND when you installed A9LH it was still there but extremely out of date. Most of the reason for having A9LH/B9S is to be able to run CFW from sysNAND so you don't need that emuNAND taking up the extra space on the SD card.

With B9S there is absolutely no reason to even use an emuNAND and, if you followed the guide properly when going from RXTools>A9LH you wouldn't have an emuNAND now anyway. It has you copy your emuNAND to sysNAND so you can use the system as close to "stock" as possible.

Again, if you can access LUMA config AT ALL you have CFW. You cannot remove it unless you run a specific uninstall script. You can update your console.

Update, run TikShop (your saves are gone since you formatted), reinstall any HomeBrew you had and your system will be back to normal.

@lesliesuperolmos in case this advice gets lost in the sea of text here it is again. This is the only thing you should do:
Update, run TikShop (your saves are gone since you formatted), reinstall any HomeBrew you had and your system will be back to normal
If you don't know how to run tikShop:
  1. Make sure your 3DS is connected to the net,
  2. Open FBI,
  3. Go to TitleDB
  4. Scroll down with D-pad until you find tikShop
  5. Press A on it and install
  6. Go back to home menu and open it. It will take 5-20 minutes to complete
If you don't have FBI, follow https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup again, then do the above.

how do i recover my EMUNAND??? uhmmm through godmode9?? i tried it there and it located something on the gm9 folder... and when it started "recover emunand" it said no changes were made. so it cancels out... or thats a something else?

I'm so overwhlemed with knowledge!!! dammit.. had no idea in to these stuff.. :(

OHHHH SO B9S's purpose was to run games and be online ON SYSNAND(so thats why some people call if "SYSNAND CFW" huh.. not sure) and i was still playing on my EMUNAND... but if so why are there still options for the emunand to appear on GODMODE9 and LUMA3ds tho... the purpose?? was to unlink and link them right?? OH MY GOD... im confused a little. i hope im right

so is there anywhere to delete that EMUNAND? thats eating up my space? how the hell did still have emunand...

ANYWAYS I WILL TRY!!! and update!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Okay so, you obviously have "Show NAND or user string in System Settings" disabled, that's why it's saying "Ver.". Enable it.
If you were using emuNAND before, you have to enable "Autoboot emuNAND" and your games should be working again.
If that gets them working again I suggest moving your emuNAND over to sysNAND by following this guide: https://3ds.guide/move-emunand

That will work for games installed through CIAngel or FreeShop but won't work for all .cia games such as .cias that were made using other tools than FunkyCIA and its derivatives or converted from a cartridge.
Anyway, I suggest not doing that quite yet as the fix I suggested would be much simpler if it works.

thank you for helping!

No, enabling autoboot emunand does not do anything... i actually did the guide:https://3ds.guide/move-emunand after the titles were gone. thinking it was a solution to properly link SYSNAND AND EMUNAND.. i think it was a success? because i cant see my EMUNAND on Godmode9... but i also think that if it was a success that my titles(games) should be back and merged on the sysnand but they werent...

Have a look at https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting under the injecting a blank nnidsave.bin. Then, you should be able to sign into your NNID from NNID Settings.
