Hi, I'm currently having some trouble with the initial installation. Everything runs fine until I get onto the "Please plug in your U.B. Hub to your computer now." screen.

When I plug in my Hub, nothing happens except the little noise the computer makes to acknowledge that a USB device has been connected. I actually have two Hubs, neither of which seem to do anything. I've tried different USB ports, both USB2.0 and USB3.0, I've tried disabling automatic driver installations, I've tried running the Setup.exe in different compatibility modes, but still no luck. Could it be that my Hubs are broken (they are very old after all)?

Also, when I have the patch open (on the screen with the picture of the error message) during the installation, after pressing "Install" on the Setup.exe, another window appears saying "The U.B. Funkeys Installer failed to create the necessary files!".

If you have any suggestions that would be great, I'd love to be able to play this game again!

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

EDIT: I have ordered a new unused U.B. Hub because I assumed the two I have are broken, so the first issue shouldn't be a problem anymore. However, I'm still a bit concerned about the issue with the patch, I haven't seen anyone else in this thread have the same issue! :(

Make sure you get the error to pop up before running the x64 patch. This might be the issue.

Well, my new hub arrived but unfortunately exactly the same thing is happening; I get stuck on the screen telling me to plug my U.B. hub in, despite it already being plugged in. Also, when I run the Setup.exe in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or below, I get an error message (during the installation) that the hardware driver installation has failed! I've been researching for hours and haven't been able to find a workaround.

I have managed to get the game working on VirtualBox, but unfortunately not on my Windows 10 machine (which I would MUCH prefer). I've even tried transferring the entire game and the drivers over from VirtualBox to my main machine, the game ran, but it always either says "Make sure the U.B. Hub is connected" or "Please wait while I check your U.B. ...". :(

EDIT: Okay, so I have tried a new method. I successfully got the game fully working on my virtual machine and then used a piece of software called "Double Driver" to make a backup of the Jungo drivers (the ones that Funkeys installs). I then transferred this backup to my actual PC and restored them. Initially, it said that the install had failed, but this was due to there being no driver signature associated with the drivers. I did some research and found that you can disable driver signature enforcement, so I did that. The drivers then installed "successfully". However, when I go into device manager, the driver has a yellow triangle next to the icon. I went into properties and it read "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Object Name not found.". I did some more research and found that this could mean that the driver simply isn't compatible with my version of Windows. I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Did you manage to get it working on your Windows 10 system @Shadowehh?

I had this work on my older x32 bit Windows 10 system, but currently, I don't have my UB Hub to test this on my x64 bit Windows 10 system. If you have a CD, I'd recommend installing UB Funkeys with it first and attempt to get the error to show up. Here's the original pdf file for installing it on a x64 bit machine https://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/UB Funkeys 64 bit FAQ.pdf . Though, none of the downloads work there anymore so I basically posted them here. Soon I will make a site dedicated to this to make the tutorial much easier. Tell me how it goes.

Thanks. I have a CD which came with the new Hub I bought, so I'll try it with that. The only problem is that I don't have a disk drive on my PC so I'll first test it on my laptop (which is also Windows 10 64-bit) first and if it works, I'll look into getting a disk drive for my PC and install it on here. I'll let you know how things go!

Just tried to install it using the CD on my laptop, but during the installation I wasn't prompted to connect the UB at any point. When I launched the game, it asked me to connect it but when I did nothing happened. I also noticed the font was different, so from this I'm guessing it was a much older version of the game. I also tried to install it with your downloads but the same thing happens - on the screen where it says "Make sure the U.B. Funkey is NOT connected" I press Next. It would normally install something (taking a few seconds) and then go to the screen where it asks me to connect the UB, however it seems as if it doesn't do anything and just goes straight to that screen. I can never get past this point no matter what I try.

Are you sure you weren't prompted to connect the UB Hub at all? Have you tried the 4.8 installer I had to install UB Funkeys that way? You are required to get to the point where it asks you to connect the UB Hub because you need to make it error out. You can either remove the UB Hub during the installation of the drivers (which I recommend) or wait until it gives you an error while it's plugged in.

I do get to the point where it prompts me to connect the hub, but rather than the installer displaying a progress bar before that point, it instantly snaps to that screen when I press next (which I know it isn't meant to do because I've installed it on Virtual Box and there was a progress bar).

Try unplugging the UB Hub as soon as the progress bar shows when you are installing it. This should give you the error.

Alright, so i installed all 3 files on my (:D) harddrive. The game wouldn't install when i used the setup because it didn't do anything after it asked me to plug in my U.B. hub (which i did). However, i can boot up the game when i open the UBFunkeys.exe application in the 5.0 file. But when i get to the main menu it says ''Please wait while i check your U.B.'' i have 2 hubs and both didn't work. The game does work on a virtual Windows XP machine except it's really slow for some reason even though i have max settings (cause i have a gaming desktop).
Do you think you can help me?

The 4.0 installation was to install the drivers correctly to detect your UB and to essentially get the 64 bit version running while installing it. Please show me what's wrong with it.

Not sure why it's doing that. I'll take a look into it later.
