yeah too late, unless you can change it :P

I don't really care if you don't believe me, that's not the point of this thread. All I'm asking for is some help on the matter and if anyone else has experienced it.

The only thing I can remember is that I had accessed the eshop closed it, I also linked a facebook just to see how the "browser" was like.

If your Auto-Update is on why are you still on 3.0.0? Mines is off and my switch is still trying to update every chance it gets.

Maybe the switch has to be set to a specific time, like release date or year
The original came out before the clock's earliest date (only goes back to 2000 and it was out in the mid 80's), and the original month and date is not even really near the OP's date (not to mention he has auto update for the clock on).

Original release dates;
  • JP: May 1, 1984
  • NA: October 18, 1985
  • EU: November 15, 1986

Was thinking the time should be set to like 5:01 AM, OR 1:05PM etc

shows how toxic this community is. everyone just immediately gives the op crap till someone recognizable confirms
Well, to be fair, someone "recognizable" dismissed the idea and even called OP a liar as well :P
Regardless of whether OP was lying or not, it sounds like such a spectacularly classic EoF story so I wouldn't blame anyone for calling him out even if it turned out to be true haha, we need more than words here for starters :P

Um let me get on my pc to reply to everyone mentioning me.
Since you're here, I've got a few questions (if you remember the answers).
  • did you have a game cart in the slot?
  • were you using two joy-con, or one?
  • did you play with motion controls, or using a button method?

I'm basically repeating myself later in this chain reply but I had BOTW in the game cart slot, Joy-cons were in the grip, and no motion controls that I recall.

Now since I didn't detach the joy cons I don't remember those images on the bottom left and right. Seeing this now, it's interesting that they're trying to incorporate motion controls or what appears to be motion controls
maybe, HOLD a button and press some others... or hold both trigger buttons on the joy-cons may actually trigger it
I am thinking on a way possible it could be triggered by a person that left the switch on a surface and the joy-cons possibly "pressed" in some form.
@Setery did you have your joy-cons attached to the grip or to the switch or not attached to something when it was triggered? (you said it was docked, but they can be with the console)
They were attached to the grip if I recall so no need to use the ZL or ZR buttons.
Maybe not a long combination, but a short one or button hold scheme is possible.

It's possible that in the natural motion of navigating pre-break and picking up his controllers pre-use triggered a short combination, or that while his controllers were down they held buttons (or that he did so in picking them up).
That's probably more along the lines of what happened not sure though

If anyone wants more in depth detail just look at what I've posted in the beginning of this thread.
